Really helpful video! My polo has been sent to a garage now twice after needing a new rear bumper but unfortunately it keeps dropping, hopefully I can now look into and fix the massive gap!
Thank you, I think it’s the brackets that screw onto the body the bumper clips onto, would just of been nice of them to do it properly the first time around
@@bethanwhitmore2403 sounds to me if the gap is massive , the beaver panel/rear panel may be damaged on accident and still in potentially . If so there would be abit more of a jump to opening the bootlid also ( a kick ) rather than smooth
Do you know if a 6c bumper will fit on a 6r? I have 6r but want the facelift bumper (looks better imo). I've heard it's possible but need to change the brackets
@stevecooke Whats that iron thing used for? It looks heavy and I see it's all rusty after you pulled off the rear bumber. Is it there to lessen impact of a Rear Collision in the case of an Accident?
Yes exactly that my friend its called a reo short for bumper/bar reinforcement. . Strengthening or the rear of vehicle to save the boot floor and structural panels being damaged
You can Paul but more of risk of breaking the tabs which hold the bumper under the light or stressing the paintwork below the light .I guess more or a safer way all round if want to avoid any problems, also on refit helps to align the bumpr correctly 👍
@@stevecooke7951 ye I’m a friend of mine pushed in my reverse sensor so I’m having to take the bumper off as every time I reverse now it’s beeping constantly ! And seems to be the only way of getting it back into the hole
@@MrPAROBI yeah sometimes from underneath there's little or no access .. if its an aftermarket or none genuine sensor .. they have directions on the actual sensor at back and it could be facing downwards..hence why it keeps beeping try to twist when you got bumper off 180 degrees . May help or visually look where the arrow is pointing
Love the deep house playing background there mate 👌
Haha black coffee . The best of the best my friend

I can't be certain my friend
Brilliant thanks
Here to help ANZ 😊
I think it's a 25 torx and not a 20? The 20 will also work but may destroy the screws
@reinulf656 appreciate your feedback amd I hear you on this.
Legend!
Thanks brother
Thank you
My pleasure love to hear this

Without the bumper, won't have a bumpy ride. 🤣
Can you do this without removing the tail lights ?
