Non-fixed shower heads and bidet shower (handheld smaller shower that you cn use to shower your privtes when you’re aitting on toilet, great for personal hygiene after number two or during periods etc.) are the first and most important upgrades to our house!
even in canada detachable showerheads are pretty common. i moved into my apartment and it didn’t have one so the first thing i bought was a detachable showerhead. i have dyed hair and i want my damage deposit back lol

The thought of owning a house in your early-mid 20s (even 30s) is mindblowing to me. I live in Vancouver and the average price of a house here is just under $2 million. And those are pretty rare because they get snatched up right away. So realistically for most people it's over that. :(
It's doable if you move to the suburbs like Surrey/Langley (which are actually very nice places to live). You just have to get into the housing market first. After that it gets easy with building equity and home values increasing. I bought a condo in Surrey for around $400,000 ( $20,000 down payment) two years ago now I'm selling for $700,000 and buying an actual house with a decent yard. And I only make minimum wage so far.

As a person who designs kitchens as part of my job, the cabinets for your kitchen are gorgeous! From what I could see it looks like they are all plywood construction(better built cabinet than engineered wood) and soft close doors and drawers. The paint finish is also lovely. I can’t wait to see what color and material the countertop is made out of! The extra bits on the pantry cabinet box are most likely toe kick (will cover up the unfinished strip at the bottom of the cabinets), scribe molding (helps hide gaps between wall and cabinet), shoe molding (gaps between toe kick and floor) and maybe some crown molding? It will be so fun to see when it’s finished!! Love your channel and videos :)

Funny, that the sprayer is so cool to you. I think that I never had seen a shower or bathtub with no sprayer. I guess a sprayer is a showerhead that you can move? All the showers I know have a moving showerhead, sometimes just the moving one. But maybe that's a german thing.
In the US a lot of showers/ tubs don't have a sprayer just a showerhead on the wall. I Europe it's normal to had this, I'm not from the US but saw a lot of pics, videos ect about this topic.

I understand the excitement, when I got my townhome in 2020 I got to decorate each room myself and it was SO FUN. Every room has a different theme and I totally understand Kayla's excitement over things like floors, cabinets, paint colors, lol. It's fun to watch after having doing it myself.

Get door stops for your doors so the doors don’t slam into the walls or your shower. Super cheap but so worth it. They just go on the door hinges and you can adjust them too.

Yeah they’re so useful for both body washing and for like rinsing things out/cleaning things. They’re common here in Australia too

they're pretty common here. I've never had one but several of my friends have. It's not like the default but lots of people have them lol
I put them in my bathroom first thing. It’s usually easy to change out the shower head, and they aren’t that expensive.

i’ve lived in a couple different homes (in usa) in my life and all have been overhead shower heads that are removable!
