At 1:11:30 it was actually really important that you activated Pernicious Deed on your turn, since opponent had shown that they ran Ertai, which can counter activated abilities. They ended up not having it, but it could have been bad if you had waited so well played. :)
Considering how bad standstill is at the moment, this is the most bosh n roll deck I could see you playing at the moment. It makes me happy to watch you play these types of deck
GOD I AM SO GLAD PEOPLE ARE FINALLY GIVING DAMPING SPHERE THE RESPECT IT DESERVES! I was playing that many months ago because it's a house! it was good against Tomb decks, great against the Storm variants, and it beat up the format when it went back to 12 Post being a big player.
That first game of the last match is my absolute favorite kind of magic to play. It gives me a headache and stresses me out every time, but super grindy flash control tempo gameplay is so much fun
Just sold my Replenish a week or so ago to a friend. There was basically no chance I was bringing it to an actual legacy event (they are very rare around where I live) and he wanted on for an edh deck

14:29 Funny thing about Consign//Oblivion - it can't be cast under Lavinia until its controller has 7 lands on the board, regardless of which mode is chosen. Opponent wished for a card they couldn't ever hope to cast. Edit: I have been corrected, and this does not work how I thought it did.
I don't think this is true, while yes the cmc of the card is 7, which is relevant for things like dark confidant, the cmc of the spell being cast is still 2, so it can be cast with only 2 lands on board

I used to play a silly restore balance deck in modern, but I always hated casting SSG, apart from once against lantern control. He straight up gave me it, so I killed him with it. He was pretty salty
in game 1, would siding in surgical extraction have been good? they showed they were more than willing to use a wish on something that wasnt tendrils, and it shuts off their main wincon
At 30:55, could you cast dress down -> white card -> solitude the token, hopefully draw something? It's a crazy long shot, but the attempt would have been free.

When you pick a side, that’s the spell. You can bounce Lavinia with 2 lands. You can’t tutor it with Spellseeker though because in the deck it’s 7.

Thought of that too, but since dress down would be in play when solitude entered the battlefield, it wouldn't actually kill the token.
