I have also tried using chatgpt to create very simple vba code and have never been able to create working code on the first or second attempt. I have to do a lot of debugging and sometimes throw everything away! Has this happened to you too?
I like the idea of using this first before the API help or along with it...instead of bugging your buddy the API master, maybe just use the chat first! I might have to try it...
My experience is that ChatGPT just creates lines it thinks should be in the API without actually referencing if that command is actually part of the API. Anything more complex requires so much debugging that I might as well create the macro from scratch.
Aman, look into using Open AI's API with PDM, how about checking the profile card descriptions Nomenclature? This is an issue with any CAD Admin. what if you could have open AI check the Description of a file in the Vault (maybe as you make it) against your companies Nomenclature document?
All this demo shows me is that if you have no idea how the api works, you will not get anything usable out of chatgpt. It gave you old calls that are explicitly noted in the documentation as being obsolete, redundant calls and a completely non functional script. Those that think that chatgpt will phase out any human job is completely delusional.
This is unbelievable! I can't sleep for a month because I'm thinking of the endless opportunities of this software...
Sleep is important!
@@BlueByteSystemsInc Yes, indeed... :D
Nice work, I just started exploring with it and I am telling you brother "SKYNET from Terminator movie" is becoming real day after day 😆
Oh, yeahhh, it's coming!
Great work Amen!
Thank you for your support! We love your work too!

Go for it! We'd love to see your review posted on YT!
ChatGPT may not be BlueByte but it's at least BlueAight
I want to extract all the dimensions and their grid reference into a csv file of a dxf file. How can i do it using vba macros. Please Help
Post your question on cadoverflow.com but you need to show effort. It's unlikely that people will help you if you just ask for the code.

Can you send more details about that by email?
Tentei fazer um quadrado de 100mm mas o código dá erro. Pode ajudar nisso?
Can you please ask your question in English or French?
Would it be possible to create a macro that would allow for the batch transfer of data from an excel file to solidworks custom properies?
Hmmm good idea. Like a custom properties importer.
instead of using macro, try api with C# console with importing solidworks api libraries, it can really do the job accurately.
