Nice video for all of us with older pwc. I have 2 questions, first how many oms you have on good rectifier and second how many volts i must have on multimeter connected to battery with good rectifier ( to charge battery)
I have had no luck in measuring ohms on these rectifiers. There seems to be very little difference from a good one to a bad one. Bat volts should be around 13v at idle and 13.5 ish at high idle.
I just replaced my vts motor on my 2000 rx and it only moves in one direction. I tried reversing the wires and it didn’t make a difference. Do you have any suggestions on what the issue may be?
When you say reversing the wires ...What do you mean ? If you directly apply power to the motor and then reverse the polarity does it move in both directions ? If so then the housing is the issue and not the motor. There are some electronic limit controls in there and they sometimes go bad . I have 3 different ones that will only go in one direction. Only fix is to replace the housing.
@@SeadooRefurb I tried switching the wires around since the buttons were reversed but it made no difference. I think you are correct about the housing because I checked it this morning and it doesn’t work at all now even with the new motor I installed last night. Any suggestions on where to find a new housing unit? Haven’t had much luck looking.
That is curious . I have never checked to see how hot they get on regular running. Is the rectifier mounted to the stainless steel battery holder ? That acts like a heat sink. If it is then I would guess the rectifier is going bad.
Can you help me? i have a 1999 Sea doo GTI i replaced the stator i now have spark, and yes, im getting fuel, but it won't start. Did i do something wrong
Looking forward to 4 stroke videos

Good stuff!
Which 4 stroke first NA or supercharged? I would imagine your sticking with Seadoo's. Thanks for the videos.
No idea yet. Just started looking to see what is out there. Man..The parts are rediculously expensive for the 4 strokes.

@@codyharrington5953 Check fuses . You may have just blown a fuse as you would be pushing the motor beyond its max limit. Best place is ebay.
@@SeadooRefurb fuses are fine. EBay it is! Thanks for the help.
My rectifier gets too hot to hold my hand on. I think my stator is going bad.

You need to see if you have 80 pounds of air pressure. No air pressure means no start.
@SeadooRefurb it runs but keeps back fireing it runs good when I hook up water to it but once I put it in the lake starts to back fire again
