I was a city boy who spent all vacations on the family farms. There I learned to ride on a Yamaha 80cc trail bike as soon as I could get one foot down to balance. Back home it was my Schwinn until I was old enough to ride with my temps and that was it for bicycles. Yes, I would have loved one of these when I was younger. However, getting together with the guys on our bicycles and getting exercise is something that I wouldn’t want to have missed.
I can’t think of any reason why a child needs an electric bike. What happened to pedaling and exercise. It’s like giving your kid a motorcycle. A child small enough to ride that can get seriously hurt.
This is the same generation that plays video baseball, football, soccer and other sports, rather than actually playing the sport. No playground playing, no walking or biking to school. Plus fast food all the time.
Kids need to exercise their muscles. Let them ride a non ebike. It amazes me all the young people that never even pedal on their ebike. I need to think about the location of my throttle, that is how much I use it. In Europe throttles are not allowed and they get by just fine. I’m about to convert a bike with a mid drive, I think I will do it initially without a throttle and see if I miss it, my guess is I will not.

How do you change the rear wheel tire and what size is the tube
I'm just waiting for the C5 my God does it look cool
Around my area, motorcross is really big with young kids. So I can see this as a first choice for them to get started or instead.
And much quieter!
Jetson Bolt Pro would be a good alternative at half the price. Even has pedals.
