The country hosting COP29 has been ruled with an iron fist by the Aliyev family for decades. Yet European governments, e.g. Italy, in the name of fossil fuels are turning a blind eye to the constant violations of the rights of Azerbaijani opponents, be they politicians, journalists or even artists.

Aliyev's Azerbaijan is worse than Putin's Russia by all metrics, yet they are treated so differently by the international community... these double stadards are disgusting!
