- 'Queen's Iconic Royal Range Rover Goes Up For Sale'
A Range Rover previously owned by the late Queen Elizabeth II has been discovered by an anonymous collector, and is due to be sold at auction next month.
The Epsom Green Range Rover had many custom modifications made specifically for the Queen, including covert lighting and grab handles to assist her in getting in and out of the vehicle.
Classic car experts at Iconic Auctioneers say they have footage of Queen Elizabeth behind the wheel of the car at the 2005 Windsor Horse Show. The auction will take place in Birmingham at the NEC centre on November 11th, and is predicted to sell for around £60,000.

It should go to a collector they will keep it pristine. Hopefully it will be shown at Car Museums❤️🇨🇦
It's been with a collector this entire time.
FFS!
❤I miss you gangan 😢
I suspect you are talking about you actual grandmother. Lizzy was no relation to you. Not good to fawn over celebrities.
It will sell for much more!
Unfortunately you're probably right.
Anyone that pays that much money for a car that was mainly driven by their security team deserves to lose their money for being such a fool. It's literally one of a 1000. I truly hope people are not this ignorant. Or it's someone who has more money than brains because it's certainly not going to charity.
Should not be up for sale
It’s better than other things like kids
Why not?
Why not?
@@Landielovethey don’t need the money obviously. But if nobody is going to use it now fair enough
@@angelica-mixonmichael1270Who’s selling kids? More importantly who would want to buy them
Jaguar Land Rover build many bespoke vehicles for the Royal Family. It's a good way for them to promote their new models. They can't keep them all indefinitely.
A friend of mine bought a Jaguar XK8 convertible and the V5C listed the previous owner as 'The Royal Household.' It was immaculate.
Very nice ❤❤❤
"The Epsom Green Range Rover had many custom modifications made specifically for the Queen, including covert lighting" You then show us options that are standard on every vehicle. Should have lit it up boys. The links people will go to now to make a quid.
@@Landielove Bruh, I don't know what kind of a numpty beater you drive but handles and running boards are standard. And what exactly is the rear switches you speak of? If you want be one of the proverbial sucker born every minute be my guest. A fool and his money as they say. You and all the other fools who fell for this deserve to be parted from your money.
Do you know what would be an incredible find? The convertible the Queen used to drive when she was Princess Elizabeth and had to give up when she became queen. That would be something that belonged in a museum. Not this vehicle.
@@EF5Winds Honestly because everyone else probably told her what to do at that time .
@@EF5Winds Exactly they can't pull that on Charles. Just like he's never going to move into Buckingham Palace. I don't know why people keep saying he is.
@@EF5Winds There's just something cold about it. Literally and figuratively. I'm sure Clarence House has a flagpole over it so everybody knows where he is😂. Can you imagine.. what a weird life.
Well now, that's an incredible conversation starter!

Wonderful treat for the owner many blessings ❤
I also believe it should be kept in the museum for future generation to sight and remember the Queen. The vehicle need be preserved as a legacy.😊❤
And what about the 40 other vehicles she drove at some point in her life?
@TimbreWx This has got to be one of the most ignorant comments I've heard in a long time and I've had to work with Prince Harry. Have you not noticed how many range rovers they have? They have at least four with them on each royal at one time in addition to the Audis and police escorts. These are working vehicles kept around a few years and then replaced. And you want to put them in a museum! What would be good in the museum is the one that Prince Philip rolled. That would be interesting.
Nooo! This is like selling a member of the family! The Queen loved that car!
The Royal are as important as that car. I agree.
@@Ker-mk3bf I'm agreeing with the OP. You're never happy.

@@andrewoliver8930 oh look, you back with more pathetic hate comments
RF needs the money. Charles and Camilla need to pay off the Church for adultery.

One of the best things about our royal family is that they didn't spend money for monies sake.
That Range Rover would have been 10-20 years old.
Her majesty was always a wonderful role model.
I miss you ma'am. ❤❤
LOL! That Range Rover is 20 years old. When was the last time you think the queen actually drove that car? Not for many years.
@@comet1227 your point? :)
@@comet1227 Her last trip to Balmoral castle in 2020, btw.
That was the car for Balmoral estate, it was only in London when they were coming or going from Balmoral.
My point is that wasn't the Range Rover you saw her driving. :)
Are you 100% positive that that's the vehicle they kept at Balmoral? @@jaegrant6441
In some ways its sad that our late Queens Rangerover is going up for sale but, i do understand that one cannot keep everything when a relative passes away, and im sure rather than having a vehicle under dust sheets forever like a shrine, she would much rather someone used it and loves it as much as she did.
It's not the Queen's range rover considering it was owned by the person who is now selling it. Technically it's their car.
@@Sea-Monkeys-are-really-shrimpThat's the auction house representative I'm pretty sure.
Her maj has had that Range Rover since I was a kid. I remember all the holiday snaps and her driving. ❤
Please tell me you're not this ignorant. Every single one of her range rovers is that colour. They maintain a fleet of them. That was not the one she drove since you were young. I don't know how old you are, but that Range Rover is a 2004.@@jaegrant6441
You don't understand what a lease programme is do you. That vehicle was part of contract 34319. They do not keep aged vehicles around that may breakdown at any moment compromising the safety of the royal family. It already said it was owned by a private collector who is obviously going to make money off of it because of her passing.@@jaegrant6441
"Her maj" 🤦🏾♀
I wish the V&A museum would purchase it.
Why would the museum want a vehicle that was sold off as one does with vehicles that are part of a fleet just because the queen rode in it at some point in her life. Do you have any idea how many range rovers she has driven in her lifetime?
Sentimental value of the vehicle will be interesting
It's going to be abhorrent because people think this was her personal car for years when it wasn't.
Hopefully they cleaned all the crumbs out, I bought a second hand Skoda fabia in 2014 and it was full of crumbs, it’s was like a family of biscuits owned before me or something, what a nightmare!!!

This car should be in a Car Museum. I loved how she drove some leaders for a Middle East country in it around her Windsor (or Scottish) estate to disprove the belief of some/many men in some of those countries that women should not drive! She was a wonderful woman in so many ways. Seeing her as a young Queen driving past in an open-back limousine with Prince Philip in Winnipeg, Canada in 1957 is a sight I've never forgotten!
You don't get what a leasing programme is either do you. This isn't being sold by the royal family. It's being sold by the person who bought it from the leasing company.
@@therealsophiemary . ... And the British goverment (with taxpayer money) should buy this historic vehicle for exhibition inside a museum somewhere so it is preserved for posterity! I can imagine Queen Elizabeth I, who was a bold leader, would have driven a Land Rover or maybe had a Rolls Royce too (if possible in her time) as would've Queen Victoria! -an American with some British heritage to go along with my Scandinavian roots!
😀
Taxpayer money is used for security only. It is not used to buy one of hundreds that she has driven over the years. It has been used by common people since it was sold off most likely in 2006 or 2007.
No. She drove Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah in 1998. This is a 2004 model.
Why?👑
It is only a possession....😂
The Queen didn't actually own the car as such as with the other cars they lease them, only own a handful of vehicles which have been given as presents. They have been adapted for the Queen and other members of the family, so it's never actually been personally owned by, the company would've put it up for sale
If only people would listen.

I'm gonna take the Indian Jones stance and say "That Belongs in a Museum"
(preferably with the Royal Family's other cars so everyone can see & appreciate its history)
She drove like mad (like in a formula one race). A wonderful piece for a museum or a private collection (it's quite strange that they sell it).
@@CaroleI279 it's not a criticism or disrespect (quite on the contrary, she was an admirable woman), but many people (e.g., Boris Johnson) have commented that she used to drive very quickly.

WHAT SELL IT, SHOULD BE GIVEN AWAY TO A FAMILY, THE PEOPLE PAID FOR IT
You people are ridiculous.THE ROYAL FAMILY IS NOT SELLING IT. IT WAS SOLD YEARS AGO! It's a 20 year old vehicle! Worth £8000!
This feels wrong to me.
I was under the impression that it has passed on to The Prince and Princess of Wales.
I don't remember the Corgis ever being seated away from our late Queen Elizabeth, I have only seen them in the same seats as Her late Majesty and getting out of the vehicle with Her.
I need to fact check on that.
The so-called 'bodylanguage experts' would be saying the rubbing of hands together can indicate a dodgy dealer.
But speaking fairly, it looked very cold there.
Who knows, I hope the proceeds go to one of Her late Majesty's Charitable Organizations.
Especially after giving this impression without provenance.
I am sure she will be watching intently with our beloved Prince Philip.
As well as our security forces.
My goodness I miss them both so much, still. God bless our Royal Family. 🙏👑
Nothing wrong at all, it was owned by her 18 years ago and then moved on. The provenance has then been covered. Good luck to someone who can enjoy this
@@Landielove fair enough. It still feels wrong, it feels like he is cashing in on Her. My issues, obviously. Thanks for replying.
Why on earth would you think that a 20 year old used automobile, one amongst hundreds from a fleet of cars would be passed onto the Prince and Princess of Wales? Even more absurd is you think that the person who bought it however many years ago should donate the proceeds to one of Her Majesty's charitable organisations. You're ridiculous.
The person who bought it from the leasing company after it was switched out of the Royal Fleet IS DEFINITELY cashing in on her riding/driving it at some point in time. I wouldn't doubt it goes for over £100,000 considering a £200 sweater Went for £1m.
@blackholesun8586 It's a heart thing, not a head thing, that is why I said 'feel' , and it's personal.
We are still grieving.
If it is the one left after our dear Queen passed on, the Wales were given use of it.
There isn't a fleet of personal cars, Her late Majesty was not an extravagant, money blower there is a huge difference between Royalty and celebrity. They do not endorse the capitalistic throwaway culture.
She was also a qualified mechanic and took care of things. The Royal Family are against wastefulness, one of the reasons Ms Markle couldn't fit it, her wasteful spending was genuinely shocking, not in keeping with her ecological claims.
There is a difference between thought and feeling.
But I can see why you would have a struggle to comprehend that.
Love the name, one of my favourites. I still miss Chris, too. And Chester.
Rare men of heart.
Why is it up for sale?
Surely King Charles could use it at Balmoral
Because the person who bought it doesn't want it any longer and thinks they can make money off of it like the sweater.
Makes you wonder if the channels getting a kickback for free advertising for that man@@EF5Winds
For that money, it better be MOT and tax exempt.
I hope people don't waste their good money on a car that was driven by her security team 95% of the time 16 years ago. It's been sitting somewhere for 16 years.
20 pound
Disgraceful, should t be up for sale in the first place. Cheapens the whole BRF in my opinion.
Don't see why it shouldn't be sold if they have no use for it.
You people are ridiculous.THE ROYAL FAMILY IS NOT SELLING IT. IT WAS SOLD YEARS AGO! It's a 20 year old vehicle! Worth £8000!
Trade in value is actually £3000.
Why do you make videos like this just to stir people up who don't understand how things work?
Her Majesty maintained a FLEET of Defenders and Range Rovers for official use that are rotated in and out on a continuous basis. According to Iconic Auctioneers, this third-generation Range Rover was supplied to the royal family by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations under contract 34319. The only difference between this vehicle and other range rovers is a modified grill for blue lights, and hidden control panel for said lights.
The truck itself is a 2004 model and has seen some regular use over that time, with 109,675 miles on the 4.4-liter BMW-sourced V-8 engine. Most of which were not put on it by the queen herself.
❤
They should not sell this #LandRover. #KC should be keeping it.!! I miss #QueenElizabeth. ❤❤
But when they due sell the #LandRover they will get way more then $60,000 because it will get into a biting war cause #QueenElizabeth owned it. I hope that they really up date us on this!!
why shouldn't it be sold, our late Queen won't need it?

It is not the royal family that is selling it an anonymous collector is selling the car. The Queen must have sold it when she was alive.

@peteregan good point. Let's sell all of the tax payers buildings that are in the hands of the royal family while we are at it. There is a standard Sir.
@@rebeccadanaher1065 A personally owned car that nobody is using is hardly comparable to state owned buildings.
@@Ker-mk3bf I cycled all of my life but not at that standard. Thanks for that recommendation.
@@peteregan7864 it depends how highly you regard our past Queen.
Selling her items and my grandmother's items aren't going to heal those childhood wounds. After you auction off every essence. That memory will create itself into trauma. You cried into every arm that wasn't Elizabeth or Phillip to heal the inner child within yourself. Instead you shoveled down pain for power. Expressed that pain towards my grandmother, great-grandmother Elizabeth, great-grandfather Phillip, and my father because nothing's going your way. People smile at you because you're also expecting them to. They may not see it present day but they will. Crowds of cheer will only bring back those shoveled emotions you wanted to release before they passed. Now once the cheers of happiness rise, so will the emotions. You criticized her in the same position you didn't understand. Now you're acknowledging exactly what she went through. Material that was consoled from their soul isn't going to heal the mental propriety of situations you were pained from. The emotions you kept hidden will.
It can go to a Museum for goodness sake, Queen Elizabeth II really liked it. Doubt they need the money, but wait they have to support the California Grifter "and 👉 one".
They probably need the money for Andy's bailout.
Do you have any idea how many range rovers the queen has had in her fleet of range rovers? If you paid attention you would have realised that it's being sold by a private collector who bought it years ago.
Andrew Oliver certainly has turned out to be quite the perv@@Ker-mk3bf

Should not be for sale
Why? Because the queen sat at it at some point in her life? Do you know what a fleet of automobiles consist of? Lots of cars that she rode in. If you're referring to one of the state cars then yes that would be inappropriate to sell.
