Life is complicated. Often, we set plans, expectations, and dreams, only to find them shaken up by sudden detours on the road. These upsets can slow us down and discourage us unless we realize that God is the ultimate Master of our destiny, and He sees our path to the end!
Illustrating this, Bishop Jakes turns to the story of Jesus’ earthly parents, Mary and Joseph. When we think of the Christmas story, we think about the blessing and the miracle and the majesty of God with us. For Mary and Joseph, in that present moment, it was a time of turmoil, uncertainty, and fear. The news of her pregnancy, especially in those times, would have been the biggest disruption imaginable for both Mary and Joseph.
Now, we know that God had the best plan for them - a plan through which He saved the entire world - but it’s often challenging to keep this same outlook in our lives when our own plans are wrecked.

Thank you, Bishop Jake's for how you are helping me, with my daily walk with Jesus, and I do apply what you teach into my life. I liked how you commented about how your family huddles in prayer, when a loved one is in trouble. Some years back, my family did the same, for my mama, in hospital, so close to death, due to her personal physician error. The staff let our family, of about 10, wait in this conference room, till they brought any news. We all sat around the table, and I said we need to pray. Everyone prayed silently to themself, I just kept my Bible open reading, even though everyone was in their own zone, of praying, we all knew everyone's focus was on the same, our mother. After a few hours of everyone still praying, the doctor came in and told us she was going to be alright. I know it was our prayer that reached God, and this was the very first time we had ever come together in unison of prayer. I just believed, without doubt, standing on God's promise "Where 2 or 3 are gathered together, in My name there am I in the midst", and, "St.Mark 11:24 "Whatsoever you desire when you pray, believe that you have received it and you shall have it". ✌❤🙏
By far the best preacher I've ever heard! By far. I swear he understands me very well. Not the down times it'll turn around parts, because it turned around 5 years ago, but the part about process and the promise. It's almost here. Any day now. I have finally found someone who really speaks about God speaking to you in your spirit. Most of my life I was starting to wonder if I was the only one, or the only one who listens lol. I always said God speaks to me through my gut because that's where the feeling is. No one I've ever known has ever talked about it, so I just always kept it between God and me.
Bless Sir Td Jakes, his words has helped me so much to motivate, his heavy voice, he could've easily played voice of sinbad's father in lion king

In some places when a fish is caught, they put salt all over the rish... I wish I someone to explain to me from the Bible Matt:13:47 salt Is used to cleanse or purge??? But if he said I am the salt of the earth???
Maybe as a child of GOD we are supposed to be the purifying salt that draws out that which is impure and ready the 'food' that will go on to the table and nourish the people who just got home from the sin job and need some spiritual food that Jesus fed you.
Salt eaten goes into the blood and pulls out the poisons and toxins that harm you, as the "drawing love" of GOD calls to you in the state of sin and draws you out to purify you, so that HE can use you on the table for food to the malnourished still in sin.
