Like the Viking blood Eagle; ripping these still beating heart of still conscious captives, as was done in the americas; crucifixion or impalement that was practiced by multiple cultures all around the world; or Japanese Seppuku?
Worst punishment? I disagree, with a freshly sharpened blade the spinal column would be severed in 1 second or less. A terrible sight for onlookers but death would be painless for the condemned.
Seppuku is actually a form of ritual suicide in order to restore the offender's honour, it was also used as a form of execution but the beheading is not actually the execution itself, only part of it. The person committing Seppuku uses a short blade traditionally a Tantō to stab and cut open their gut infront of spectators, afterwards a second person called a Kaishakunin is brought to then behead the person in order to not prolong the suffering of a painful death as well as spare the spectators from watching someone slowly and painfully die.

The other nickname for the Guillotine was the "widow maker" not the just "widow"
I'm already wwidowmaker
Cringe
Man, ancient history sure was desensitized to such brutal violence.
Flight attendant: would you like some headphones Me: why thank you, how did you know my name was phones
Your pronunciation of guillotine is awesome 😂
When I read about the guillotine in a book I was horrified that it would be very painful and still I hate to believe that it is one of the most painless form of execution
The guy about to slice off my head: any last words?
Me: wait, so im not allowed to have a head?
The guy about to slice off my head: uhhhh ok you know what just let him go
I thought it was rather painless...
Yay! Info graphics show published :)
Actually this seems rather humane compared to some of the other executions I've seen on this channel.
4:45 Heavy weights wouldn't have an effect on the speed of the blade (remember that in a vacuum, a feather and a brick would fall at the same rate). Instead, the weights would increase the mass and therefore increase the kinetic energy of the blade towards its target.
we don't behead in space, trent.
Victims: guess I’m headed to the guillotine
Guillautine was the best punishment anyone could get. It was painless. It was either that or getting your head cut by an axe, they would usually miss.
I wasn’t going to watch this, but I went ahead anyway.
Haha, I see what you did there.
Wow
past:so,how do u punish people, present?
present: we have bumping toes on couch legs, no wifi for a year, no phone, and covid. beat that
past: only that? lemme try bumping my toes on couches.............AWWWWW! OOF! OUCH! YES! IT REALLY IS PAINFUL
"I don't want my name to be associated to death"
Er...
Well, it was at least the quickest end; As long as the blade was heavy & sharp enough and ran freely enough, consciousness and possible pain were limited to *instants* after the release mechanism was triggered.
"Try not to lose your head"
(me): cough, cough Foreshadowing cough, cough

Papyrus be like:
THE PUNS MAN. "Try not to lose your head" "Beat france to the cut" "good head on your shoulders" THIS DUDE ON A ROLL 😏
Stoning: hold my Rocks
🤣🤣 funny
bahahhaha this is underrated
Criminal: *is decapitated*
( *0.1 seconds later*)
Executioner: "Alright, *blink* decapitated head."
This whole video is about decapitating human beings, and I wasn’t outraged until the narrator mention the poor sheep and calves. How barbaric!
I really like these videos
