40mm is my favorite focal length as well. I have the Konica Hexanon f1.8 and the Voigtlander Ultron f2. Another lens I have that I may prefer to both of these is a 38mm f2.8 Schneider Kreuznach Xenar (Tessar variant) made for a fixed-lens camera from the 60's and adapted for use on mirror-less. I have a decent collection of lenses, about 70, mostly vintage and if you would like a recommendation, my favorite desert island lens is the auto-Takumar 35mm f3.5 made from 1959-1962 (27 - 30 thousand copies total), amazingly sharp, wonderful color, great bokeh, relatively unknown and so very affordable. All the best!
Well done on your commitment to the focal length! It is a great one.
