Absolutely use lard or bacon fat to fry potatoes! I find using leftover boiled potatoes gives a nicer crispness and faster result. Season as you prefer, add salsa or just eat them plain with steak and eggs. You won't need to eat again until at least supper time. Enjoy! My mother taught me this 50 years ago. She learned it from her Grandma, so doing this has been tried and true for about 150years, folks.
Never use sandpaper to sharpen scissors! It removes blade material from the wrong edge, ruining the blades. I've sharpened my upholstery shears by hand for about 30 years the way my father taught me. He used to be a saw smith at a lumber mill sharpening everything even my mother's sheers when she was still a tailor. Cheers from a Grandpa!

My Grandpas life hack when he got up at 4am to milk his cows was to take 2 shots of old crow with his heart medication

Use a pure silver coin to keep milk fresh longer. When the milk is gone, simply rinse the silver coin and use again. Silver is also amazing to purify water to keep wounds from becoming infected.

When i did horticulture at college we always dipped all the used tools that day, in old used lawn mower sump oil and then hung them over the tool pit. Excess oil drained off and they never had rusty forks, spades, shovels, rakes, hoes, law edging irons, or anything else used in the 50 years that college was open. When the oil was exhausted we used it to treat gate and fence panels, which water proofed them, nothing got wasted.

I mix waste motor oil and diesel fuel 50/50, with a bit of green oil-based paint for tint, and spray it on my wood fence. Makes new repairs look old and match the rest of the fence as well as preserve the wood.

Ya ! Sometimes on the water conditions you have to add a pinch of salt. & if it’s a dam cold morning, a good shot of scotch. & ya I asked the owner of our Chinese restaurant 55 years ago how he made such good coffee, he added the egg shells in ! Just make sure no no chicken poop on them. Ha ha

You can always find old percolator coffee pots at yard sales or camping supply store. Best coffee ever. (Perk coffee 3-5 minutes for the strength you like)

In case you don't know, you can rub oll on your tools to prevent rust!

No, that costs. Save your used motor oil for that, plus wipe it on wooden tool handles to preserve them as well.

Vinegar is a miracle product, a few years ago I had five baby skunks and they get into my dry vent because it was ground level and a wild life agent helped me get them and I was going to toss the dryer and my welding gloves out but she said mist everything with vinegar and dry was fine and my gloves smell like leather and no skunk odor .

Also with the sugar water for cut flowers drop in one crushed aspirin it also helps. From my google search on the correct spelling for asprine (How to use it
Crush a 250- to 500-mg aspirin tablet per gallon of water. You can use a mortar and pestle, or put the aspirin in a sealed baggie and crush it with a heavy object)

Looked delicious to me. Baking a chicken or pig coated in clay in a pit of coals in the woods, wrapped in wet leaves to add moisture, is a great way to cook meat thoroughly. An added bonus is the feathers or hair comes right off stuck in the baked clay.

You know, you should REALLY read this before publishing it. THere are many mumbled words, inaccurate bits, and other errors. For example: Adding cornstarch to scrambled eggs: first it says "a pinch", then you need a measuring spoon for the amount. A pinch does NOT need a measuring spoon! There is SO much good information in this video. It would be great if there was an easy way to print out all the information. Using the transcript is troublesome and time-consuming since you have to remove the time stamps. Are you people blind???? It says "white vinegar" but you show apple cider vinegar. HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE??? OR WORSE YET: HOW STUPID DO YOU THINK WE ARE?

    • @g.borgia5100

Not to mention most everything you eat is cooked in the cheap vegetable oil (diesel fuel) that is bad for the gut and God knows what else!
