My daughter was ripped away from me in the hospital when she was 4 days old,the hospital drugged me so i was lathargic aka not n my right state of mind from being purposely drugged by the nurses. In the 72 hours later i had court, the judge ordered visitation and mental health ,i did everything i was told to do,was lied on repeadly aka slandered, harraseed everyweek with mail stating we plan to terminate your rights, and also the paper work would say "we don't want to really terminate your rights"...... multiple games were played on me at the court hearings, multiple games were played on me during visitation,im not a drug addict nor suffur horrific mental health problems that would stop me from being a great mother that i am, I had a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE child advocate or aka cyf appointed child services lawyer.....who worked against me,cyf kept harassing me with paper work sent in my mail every week saying we plan to terminate your rights, after years of this harassment,i couldn't take it anymore, the pain was too much to handle,so i walked away,it killed me and still does,at the time,it felt like it was thebest thing to do for me because i was extremely torn down from IT ALL......that does not make me a bad mother nor bad person,as a human we can only take so much, and btw im talented singer, and still til this day i struggle with should i fight for my music career to be able to have the money to get her back or try nd fight for her back with no money??? Please please help me

In a case of abandonment, is it still considered abandonment if the bio father pays child support but has never made an attempt to have a relationship with the child? 11 years and not once ever met or made any attempt to communicate with the child. There is a step parent who wants to adopt as well

Generally, your obligation to pay child support terminates when your parental rights are terminated and/or the child is adopted by someone else.

In the event of child abandonment here in IL, if I reached out to ask for address after 8 years of him not asking about his child (my child is 8 and he isn’t on birth certificate) what if he’s now texting me while I explained an adoption petition is in place from my husband. Does him wanting to ask for my son in the process count as him trying to establish a relationship?

My wife was given full custody of my stepdaughter after she left her abusive husband and I’ve been wanting to adopt her. Despite his previous drug use, the father has been clean as of late and pays child support. And the recent restraining order on him has expired. Is there any way around this? Thanks again!

I have a person that I feel Nevada failed to provide reasonable efforts to provide services to parent while incarcerated and terminated their rights for failure to get dental treatment

is there a certain amount of time that the other parent will need to have been not present in the child's life to be considered abandonment by the court (months vs years etc). My son's father took off 6 months ago and even though he has contacted me 2-3 times either asking how son was doing or would say he will try and see him sometime he has seen his son or helped financially so I'm wondering if I have a case, because it's not the first time it's happened.

Does the parent who wants to adopt, have to be a legal step parent? My fiance and I want him to adopt our son as he is the only father he knows, but we do not plan to get married for another two years so I can finish my degree.

Family law is so criminal! Men wouldn’t need to have to fight or show any proof if men were given the same RIGHTS. How can women ‘legally’ kidnap a child then go off to say that the other parent abandoned them… these laws need to be changed and parents who keep children away then file shit like this… NEED PRISON!!! This is rape basically!!! Women have money given to them BY THE STATE and can’t afford a baby themselves yet the courts will let her keep all rights???? Not the father with a job???? Criminal

Can parental right be terminated if a parent was charged with domestic battery, specifically gun violence towards a mother and child, and has been indicated for neglect, drug abuse, and previous child abandonment by dcfs? Also the other parent doesn't pay child support so I am 100% finicially responsible for our child

What if the only basis for being unfit is based on a CATS assessment that I have paperwork to prove that it is wrong? Plus I failed drug screens for THC when my CBD product had no mention of it containing THC on the bottle. I had to contact the company for lab results to know. Oh and getting an epo is being used against me, so maybe I shouldn't have called the cops during the first abusive situation with my ex. The foster parents want to adopt him and thy seem like decent people...
I don't want to lose my next baby too though if they move on an involuntary TPR. I don't know who to talk to about it. My court appointed lawyer has not been very helpful and I probably need to call the ombudsman again. Is voluntary my best bet? :/

so let me get this straight,so is there such a law that states that a disabled person, thats legal age, lives alone, has a payee/social workers or both, has no legal issues or convictions of any kind against children, and its a mental disability of any kind, makes it illegal for us to have children at all,or not,and what i wanna know is can children be taken from anyone disabled or not if they have animals that are legal to own as pets such as dogs and cats that are born in a home, farm,or shelter, and is it legal to try to make someone thats disabled using bribary or threats to get them to agree to giving up parental rights, just because they are disabled, such as making a promise then break it when they do their end,cuz being raised as a child with law in the family isint that called coaching or brainwashing someone so you get what you want or like doing it to show bias and favortisim for someone else thats against you for some reason such as a social worker, and is it legal or not for open adoption to change or not and is open adoption able to be dropped where the parents get child back? because in my case im mentally disabled but a good man that takes the law seriously,i have anger issues, and nothing on my record at all to effect me being a father, just traffic issues,im not a smoker, not a drinker,no drugs,i can legally drive but i dont have a car and cant afford a CDL,i wanna work but its hard due to discrimination,i was never in court since 18 years old and im 49 now to even be proven to need a payee or social worker,it was forced on me,and i was dating my ex who also is disabled but she was far worse then me,so i can see why she cant do it,we were dating 3 years,we had 1 cat at the time (male) very gentle since it was born, well in 2013 when they found out she was preganant with my daughter, even before she was showing they kept making these false claims and statements and threatning to take the child until we found out she was a girl away from us,and she would be my 1st child ever in my life, and they didnt wanna show or prove that we/i cant be a dad, they made claims that our cat is a danger to my daughter by assuming the cat will piss all over her (mark) attack her like a pitbull, and if shes laying down awake or sleeping lay on her face so she cant breathe and kill her that way,so they made a promise if we got rid of it we get a chance, that was a big lie, they took her anyway, they say we have to have a car to have a child cuz they think if we dont and are outside or walking around with her that weather will kill her or harm her i can understand severe weather or very cold, but how can a sunny day or cloudy day or wind,or light rain or snow harm her or kill her when i look around and i see kids of all ages out in it,so they made us give her up for open adoption,a family my mom knows has her,and we're still in her life, shes 7 now i have a strong bond with her, shes talking loves school and she knows who i am for the way she reacts and acts around me,i say this because they are trying to teach her to call me by my 1st name instead of daddy, because they think if she called me daddy it will confuse her with her adopted parents, they also claim that open adoption is illegal to change in any way, they use her as a way so i cant speak up and be heard and fight this, they threatin me saying if i fight it i lose her forever, and i think they are only teaching her to call me my 1st name is that their afraid if she knew i was daddy, and shes old enough to say to a judge and her adopted parents that she wants to be with me or i get her at times and they get her like joint works that she will ask for me and they will have to see what a court says and have to maybe give me a chance to be a dad so i think their doing it because they dont want her to know who i really am so she would ask and because they claim that i should have an automatic lifetime ban from being a dad just for being disabled, have cats as pets cuz i have 2 now that 1 is gone and i live alone without being watched,so all i wanna know is how can i fight this or atleast find out what the law really is and to see if i could get it changed or not,and find out if this cat issue does exist or not and do it without fear of retaliation and losing her because of speaking up
