as a 24 year old house-bound mother of a 4 year old living just outside of Madison as well… i can assure you that you’re not a loser :’) our situations are different for sure, but i too spend most days inside wrapped up in sweats. this time of year in Wisconsin gets really hard for me, but i try to get out and grab a coffee, go to Barnes & Noble, and take walks outside when i can. if you ever want a walking buddy, i’d be happy to join! even in the snow lol
I feel this so much. I graduated from college and still haven't secured my post-grad full-time role, so living in my very rural hometown while all my friends start their jobs in new cities. It's isolating, but I feel so thankful I have a supportive family, a place to call home, and your videos 💕
just wanted to come on here and tell you that I find your videos soo comforting! I have been watching your videos at least for the past 4 years and even though our life situations could not be more different (we’re not even from the same continent) I always look forward to your videos! greetings from germany :)
I’m also living at home post grad and sometimes I compare my life to my friends I graduated with who are living in big cities and have these insane jobs while i’m still trying to figure things out while living with my mom in small town michigan. but then I stop and count my blessings and I realize I’m living a life others dream of also. It’s all about perspective. we will never ever have this time again to be with our families and slow down and create good habits and really figure out what we want to do. It can be so easy to get into that comparison mindset and hustle culture vibe and feel bad about your current stage of life. Just wanted to come on here and say that you are exactly where you need to be and if you are happy then there is nothing you need to do or be to prove yourself. Obviously we all want to grow in life and chase our dreams but your dreams don’t have to look any one way in order to be considered ambitious or whatever. just enjoy where you’re at and see where life takes you there is no rush ❤
as someone who also grew up in the country outside of a city, far away from a core group of friends, and moved to nyc about two years ago to chase all of that social life and city charm; there is nothing I miss more than nature and family. my advice is to not rush your time at home while you have it. I regret not cherishing that time more, and I’m constantly yearning for the openness, comfort, and fresh air. the city will always be here and when the time is right you will feel it! could you look into subletting for a more short term fix? or find an apt in madison that’s closer to that city life and your bf? I know you will land in the spot you’re meant to be in
you should try move with nicole pilates if you haven’t already! I started doing them a few months ago and doing them first thing in the morning after journaling and either before or after a long morning walk has been the only way I have been able to stay consistent! also I feel like I relate to you so much and I love your videos so much you are definitely my comfort youtuber!!💓
I think you should do a monthly trip to New York, for a week , maybe that could be cheaper than moving altogether ? That way you have 3 weeks of saving a month? And in NY stay in a Airbnb or with a friend
I don’t have to! but a lot of my friends are there and i love the city so much and have always wanted to move back (i lived there from 2020-2023)! Just wish my family and boyfriend lived closer to the city!
