Nice work. I was curious about your 4x4 conversion. I plan to just run a D60 in front, Wasn't planning on carrying a spare anyways. So that solves the lug issue. The other is the parking brake, I can't do what you did, so will have to figure out something else.
I ran a manual hydraulic line lock off rear brake line off master cylinder, works much better than any factory parking brake but i dont trust it sitting for any lenth of time, over 3 years with it, still holds, never bleeds off/ leaks off over time
Did u check the steering box spot on the frame for cracks? 4x4 OBS trucks like to crack the frame at the steering box. It is rare for 2x4 trucks to crack the frame in that spot on stock tires, but it does happen from time to time.
I have. I did not see anything out of the ordinary. It was a 2wd f-superduty frame to start with as well. Ill definatly keep on top of checking on it though. Thanks for the info.
Was on a f350 garbage truck in an autowrecker. Had to change the clutch from v belt to serpentine though. Any decent hydraulic shop should be able to get you one though. I do know there not cheap to buy new. Ive seen them on ebay and kijiji (equivalent of craigslist) and facebook marketplace. I can probably get a part # of one i replaced on one my dads trucks a few years back if that would help.
Would you be interested in building a parking brake to t-case adapters? I am wanting to do this to my 97 f-super duty and swap in a zf5 mine currently has a e4od
Not really interested at this time. I am having a hard time as it is to film content for this channel and do my own projects on top of my regular work. Any decent walding shop or machinist would be able to make one up pretty quick using the T-case and driveline brake as a template.
@@BruceMyersLBZ Thats a great idea that Ive been toying with. Unfortunatly my Province and im sure most others and some states still require a mechanically actuated emergency brake not relying on any part of the hydraulic brake system.
@@Shopworx that sucks! I dont trust it "long term", as i always chock the wheels for anything steep and for any lenth of time. But it definately has WAY better holding power than say regular parking brakes on an f350. I had to do somthing, i went about 3 years with no parking brake on a ZF5, it sucked lol!! I did pretty much same build as you, its what ford should have built. I ran f350 springs up front tho with FSuperduty rear eye bushings (heavier bolts used there) . Stock height. Nice build brother!!

Great job for a nice dump truck ! 👌
Thanks. It's been handy
Great job. Looks awesome!
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. Lots of small projects to go on it still!
nice truck
Thanks. Hope to have some time soon to finish up the 4 wheel drive

Where'd you manage to find a belt driven hydraulic pump?
