- MECHA - the love letter to our youth. Watching anime classics as kids left a mark that stayed with us to this day. So we felt it's due to time to celebrate our love to mecha and pay proper homage with this piece we did for TH-cam.
Both me and Ash had absolute blast making this piece happen. It required blood sweat and tears and breaking many walls to make sure all pieces fall into their place.
We would like to thank the team at TH-cam for trusting us with this project and specifically Jason Sao Bento for bringing the project to us and trusting us to do it right.
Be sure to keep an eye out for this feature on TH-cam to celebrate the TH-cam countdown for premier features.
Don't forget to visit both mine and Ash's website for exclusive behind scenes, screenshots and more information about the project.
Much love.

Can't believe they baited us so hard with this countdown
Anime name?
@@user-sbvbb2up58njhchh2p Armored Core 6 lol. Its a game not anime and its very good
@@user-sbvbb2up58njhchh2pits a youtube premier countdown lmfao
@@user-sbvbb2up58njhchh2pit’s not one. It was literally a countdown animation that TH-cam commissioned from this channel for a corporate reveal on some new features to the TH-cam platform.
@@user-sbvbb2up58njhchh2pits part of the reveal for armored core 6 the game, i think this guys comment is a dig at how he doesnt like it
This is like porn for mecha fans. Every moving piece of metal fitting into place just right is... _so good._ This is what good mecha anime get right. The technical parts that make you believe these things could really get up and move.
What mecha anime would you recomend.
Gurnen Lagonn, Evangeleon, Gundam, and Voltron.
@@NOOB-ps8km Full Metal Panic.
@NOOB-ps8km
Gundam series is overall good stuff wichever it is.
Adnoah zero and break blade are masterpiece of their own.
Evangelion and code geass are high plot twist stuff and drama, also a psychological masterpiece that questioning yourself and the world, and the code geass spin off the akito, the knightframe fight are cool.
Gurren lagann are the cool stuff when you mixed mecha and shounen together, it typical cool things and power of love and friendship stuff but I warn you with spoiler alert, be prepare for the ending.
Full metal panic and patlabor are high action drama that you think the 80's or 90's action movie would be.
Eureka seven are drama romance with aliens and mecha in between, and to my surprise it actually good fr
Macross series are when you put idols in between mecha space military theme, but still the variable fighter are cool design
Knight of sidonia probably lacking a bit at first but there is some charm in it that make me think "it kinda good actually, althought yeah it still lacking".
And there are some other mecha anime that I haven't watch and some that from my opinion is kinda overshadowed by what I have mentioned above so when you watch them later after you've done watching what I have mention, you think they are mid. Like muv luv, buddy complex, etc
this is truly porn for mecha fans like myself, i always watch sakuga of mecha
I wish there is a full length anime with this exact style.
AppleSeed.
It would cost too much or take too long to animate. Best you can get is a few shots like this in some old OVAs.
ghost in the shell
gasaraki?
Patlabor 1 and Patlabor 2
Hot damn I can't stop watching this. Absolute masters.
Agree
After I saw this on the AC6 premier I was looking everywhere for this, I've finally found it! Your work is amazing!
Is there a yt source for that?
Whaaat? This was you?! I used this animation in so many TH-cam premiers. This is LEAGUES above everything else in the list. We'll done!
Thought for sure this was straight out of a sci-fi anime that I had somehow overlooked. Absolutely amazing!
same i thought it was from an anime was looking forever
This is how 3d mecha can be used modern day in my opinion! Used with care, complementing traditional 80s-90s mecha animation without replacing it, it succeeded it all combining both mediums
Nooo wayyy, I was blown away by this animation when I first saw it in premier, I can’t believe I just got randomly recommended the creator’s channel
damn this is so awesome, i wish there was a release on wallpaper engine because i 100% would want this playing constantly
Bro, you gotta make it happen
ask him?
That’s a great idea I f I can’t find one I’ll probably make it or something shouldn’t be that hard with the wallpaper engine creating program
I don't know why it's so satisfying to see rows of identical machines or machine parts all moving in unison, but that's always one of my favorite aspects of mecha porn. This creator clearly understands that 100%.
Every time I see this I either hear "Reactor online. Sensors online. Weapons online. All systems nominal."
or "Activating combat mode" at the end.
High quality technobabble like the climax of Ghost in the Shell 2. I have a technical background. Everything that was said made logical & technical sense for real! "Illegal onboard breach of main system" "Isolate access point & engage proactive firewalls" "Diffuse viruses coalescing" "Multiple illegal accesses in core system, countermeasures ineffective."
People, you can't do that !!!
Seriously, I felt an incredible sense of hope that soon I will see a real cinematic masterpiece in the genre of science and combat fiction.
You just broke my heart!
The fact that 90% here cannot even tell it's 3D show just how good this is at emulating the old 90s sci-fi look
Got Patlabor 2 chills. Watching the inner workings mesh seamlessly together to power a walking tank still blows mind how detailed and well thought out it was.
SONG! GIVE ME A SONG! I LOVE HIM! Please, i cant stop repeat.
i think this is what was used.

@@necro8981 that's not the one unfortunately
@@necro8981 I think music there composed for this video specifically.
This is my favorite premier countdown to use I'm so glad it exists
Man thats just fantastic! I remember those 80's and 90's mecha movies, and I always had a blast looking at each and every small mechanical details the artists put into their works. Thank you guys very much for this piece of art! We need more of that in the world!
Amazing work! Something to be inspired by and learn from!
You right, it's inspire me to create something in this style. Great work
Thought the 90s had come back for a moment. Real, true mechanical animation. It's been a long while.
Just came here after watching the new Armored Core VI gameplay overview video! Great stuff!
It gives me chills, in the best sense of the meaning
This is a masterpiece. I love it. Never gets old.
Stunning work, love love love the attention to detail; but that´s the standard for your and ashtrops work
I am holding my breath for the "... and here's a Learn Squared course to teach you how to do this". Please be fast -- my lung capacity is not what it used to be when I was younger :D!
Why do I hear “This episode of the why files is brought to you by” when it hits 0?
yep, Ben Shapero uses it too.
Настоящая симфония технологии!!!! То от чего я всегда балдел в японской анимации!
Какое любимое аниме?)
First time I saw this was for a Destiny 2 premiere event and this goes so hard. Would love a full series of this
This is the Mecca of mecha. Someone hire this man to make a film. I'll gladly pay to watch this style of art.
i need at least a longer version or a movie of this mecha
This is incredible. The shadows, the smoothness. I can’t tell if this is either some of the best 3D-to-anime or drawing that exists, buts it’s definitely an incredible feat of art either way.
The number of times I have listened to this today cannot be healthy
Otaku builder has been using this for his countdowns, always wondered where it came from, glad to have stumbled upon this.
As a engineer and a mecha fan I have to say, I really like this.
Epic work. I’ve spent more time than I care to admit trying to remember which anime this sequence came from.
Incredible. Spellbinding.
OH SO IT WAS YOU THAT MADE IT, damnit it took sooo much time to find the source of it.
Thank you for it ! really !
thought i was seeing parts of a giant space battleship moving.
"Good evening TH-cam. I'm Tex of the Black Pants Legion, and its time to talk Battletech."
This level and quality of imagery! It's almost like a drug...
Bestes Intro/Bester Countdown. Sound und Animationen passen so harmonisch zusammen. Weckt Erinnerungen an Evangelion, Akira, Patlabor, GiTs etc.etc.etc, an all die Animes mit denen ich aufgewachsen bin. Einfach episch umgesetzt. Großes Kino.
This is stunning!
The visual design is as beautiful as the audio design. Still gives me goosebumps and something suddenly sets my volume to 100% and maximizes the video
Splendid job. When I first watched it I thought it was a sequence from 'Madox 01' or 'Patlabor' -I really didn't remember watching it before. It's definitely 80's-90's cyberpunk mecha anime style.
This is insane. We need a Gundam anime with this aesthetic.
That is
CLEAN
CRISP
SPICY
Hot damn!
This is how mecha should look like in 2020
What's the name of the track used by the artist Aeph? I can't seem to find it through the tracks I went through on Spotify.
It’s exclusively for TH-cam
Just saw your post about this on IG and rushed over to watch this and I have to say that you did an incredible job Maciej.
Keep up the good works 👍🏼
Korn used this in their premier for "Start the healing" and I thought this was amazing. I've been searching and finally found it.
Holy shit, I wish to see more of this!
Лучше любого порна!
А шо это такое?)
Its BEAUTIFUL, like all i ever wanted from animation, high detail cold metal advanced machinery
I love this so much. SO MUCH! I CAN'T! GOD DAMN WHY IS IT ONLY ONE MINUTE?! WHYYYYYY?!!?=!?!
This is literraly the way hot to MAKE brutal classic like animation. This is amasterpiece.
Looks amazing.
The comment section got me thinking "WHY IS THIS USED MORE THAN THE FLIPPING CLASSIC ONE"
amazing vibe! just stunning...
Where is this soundtrack from ? Goosebumps
What is this masterpieces
Just incredible.... PLEASE give us a 15 minute clips & then do patron PLEASE!
Every time I see this it makes me want a new Armoured Core game
I got my wish
@@weavelcow9596 Yes you did. Congrats.
they even used this on armored core 6 premiere, thats crazy !!
It is indeed how i say i love you !
Thanks that was awesome !
Es increíble. Pareciera sacada de la época dorada de la animación Japonesa
So all these mechanics and moving parts suggest a HUGE SCALE of this mecha. A robotic marvel that prolly had to be built in outer space like with space ships that it IS the size of a space ship or a small country 😅🤖
This premier countdown's epic! Somehow the Tex Talks Battletech episode on the Hunchback brought me here
BlackPigeonSpeaks used this before a livestream. I recorded this with some software and played it as a video.
The animation and the music are both top notch porn tier stuff. Good job!
Wow! This is beautiful.
Nice Nightingale shoulderpads, at 0:38.
This gives me such CHILLS!
you really nailed the subtlety of filmic compositing! (of course that's just the icing on the cake, it goes without saying the content is jaw dropping)
Обожаю эту эстетику
I need this to be on my wallpaper engine!
this is the best stream countdown of them all
Ive seen this used on a channel and thought it was amazing, so happy to have found the source of it.
The Why Files?
Why can't I stop smiling... what have you done to my face with this video!
Do NOT show your love and appreciation for YT they will tear you down and make you regret ever being here and doing what you did, they do not deserve it.
dunno wtf I just watched...except it's very anime classicky... and that I LOVE IT
Thank you, that was great!
Hmm yes the FoundAndExplained premier
Its unbelievably good... the music, the animation, the pace... THIS IS NICE
This isn't a mecha.......THIS IS AN ULTRAZORD!!
You did this 3 years ago? I came here from facebook because you just posted it like you did it today. 😆
Awesome! My scalp started to sweat and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Thank you for creating and sharing this.
Seriously top work. Amazing!
BEAUTIFUL

No nightingales were harmed during the making of this video.
It has Mamoru Oshii style written all over it.
That 1995 animation technique
Amazing!
Insanely good! Such a pleasure to watch. All the best.
Everytime they use this I feel like im about to watch something that’s about to change my life
Only to watch a guy attach lawnmower blade to his ceiling fan
I wandered where this came from
Absolutely stunning piece of animation and music.
Love the animation!
Wow, really cool
Афигеть, именно за эти вот "моменты" я и обожаю меха аниме! )))
This is galactic war preparation
I finally found it !!
would be hooked if this became a full length feature series/movie
You did a phenomenal job :)
It surely captures the early 90es animes well. So well that I was wondering which anime it was and if I had missed something like this :P
The music used is also very awesome!
LoL, this was a pretty cool title sequence. It will be nice when you guys start making something full length. Your style has a real old school analogue vibe and another video of yours, the MECHA vid definitely carried the same old school mech vibe, but in high def. Which brought it up to date. I really look forward to other projects of yours.
