Some scenes in this video were already seen in the previous videos of "The Story of Breeze", & "The Come Up Story" to tie together the storyline of Tariq being curious and questioning Ghost's past.
It’s crazy how Ghost said when Tariq is older, he will give him his version of events. Ghost couldn’t fully explain himself, now Tariq is seeing for reality what Ghost’s version of events were hence his desire to leave the game.
How old is old enough though? Bc if ghost seen Tariq was in the game he should’ve instructed why to stay away from that life instead of just instructing Tariq to stay away. I believe the secret ghost kept is what broke him and Tariq apart more so than everything else. Plus Ghost going back on his word about taking the wrap for killing Ray Ray
How old is old enough? Tariq already been kidnapped, held at gunpoint, had bullets flying over his head, watched Jukebox die, witnessed the death of his twin sister, and caught a body. Bro, just tell the kid the truth. He could have won Tariq over a long time ago by just being real with his son.
Honestly I felt like if Ghost and Tasha would have just kept it one hundred and told Tariq everything and where they got their money, and where they came from Tariq wouldn’t have looked for comfort in Kanan. He started to resent them because of the dishonesty. Show Tariq the consequences of that lifestyle instead of hiding it from him
That’s real. If they would’ve told Raina and Riq about their past and the game, none of this would’ve happened. I feel like the main reason why Ghost didn’t want the kids to know was because he was trying to escape the game and become a legitimate businessman. He was delusional in that fantasy and couldn’t stand the truth.
5:07 this is one thing that Tariq learned from Ghost that he still uses today. He used it with the Course correct thing so if the customers snitched, they would go down as well. Edit: 7:20 Ghost is funny asl 😂, bro lied to tariq even though he knew like half of the truth already. Then said “I want to give you the life I never had”. This is what distanced Tariq farther away from him because he couldn’t tell him the truth
Interesting how Power season 6 episode 10 basically(obviously)foreshadowed Tariq being the one who kills ghost,When Ghost told tariq he was around his age when he killed breeze(From his perspective),Ghost didn't mention anything to tariq about his age, in Tariq's perspective in episode 15
Lying to a kid when he already knows the truth is pointless. Ghost & Tasha thought lying would protect their kids but all it did was make Tariq grow closer to Kanan. Tariq became a liar because that was what he watched Ghost & Tasha do. I honestly don't even believe Ghost didn't want to kill Breeze. Let's be real. Ghost is naturally ambitious and eliminates anybody who is in the way of his goals. He had the option between being a corner boy and one day being at the top of the ladder in NYC. He chose the second option.
I understand what you’re saying but I kinda disagree with the he wanted to kill Breeze part. Tariq is exactly the same way when it comes to eliminating people that get in his way, a young Ghost could’ve been more emotional than the one we see in the show just like how Tariq was. Tariq never really wanted to kill his father. Breeze could’ve been somewhat like what Tommy is to him considering that Ghost never truly wanted Tommy dead. And Breeze seems like an emotional topic of discussion for Ghost, every time someone brought him up, it caused Ghost to react a certain way. Idk though. We’ll never truly know until they show it in RK if they do.
@@ecs5070 That’s probably what made Tariq want to learn the game. He felt he had nothing. Yeah he had materialistic things, but he didn’t care for that. His father couldn’t tell him the truth so 🤷🏽♂️

Kanan Might’ve Lost The Fight But He Def Won The War. His Whole Thing Was Getting Back At Ghost & He Succeeded Even In Death 😭
Facts he played the game well
Sad but true. Ghost took Kanan's son and Kanan returned a favor.
It’s crazy how Ghost said when Tariq is older, he will give him his version of events. Ghost couldn’t fully explain himself, now Tariq is seeing for reality what Ghost’s version of events were hence his desire to leave the game.
It was a relatable case how can a father tell his son he sold drugs and killed one of his best friend and got 1 locked up to become top dog.

It’s. Crazy that Tariq hated ghost so much. But in the events of PowerBook 2 we see him slowly become jus like him 💀
That's why the series name Power book 2: GHOST. Tariq is the new "Ghost".

It's an emotional topic because there probably was some regret but Ghost is also ashamed of his past.

😂 My bad for ringing the Breeze alert again but Marvin or Lou prolly be it... Kanan said they use to sell for his UNCLE!
