Austin having full on mini-delusions about Onew while listening to the album was arguably the most relatable part :D I love this album so much and I love that he's branched out so much from what the general public typically expect from him. He mentioned in the pre-release live that he wants to show a different but very much himself side of him in this album, that's bright and colorful. Jinki really set out to prove himself as an artist that was more than just an OST king and emotional ballad singer. I get why he felt that way, but like come on you’re SHINee! We know you can do anything haha. He totally blew away our expectations. I love our heavy synth, electro-pop indie prince Jinki. It’s really out of this world when SHINee does your fave genre, and Jinki did Yeowoobi for me!
I listened to the whole album on my way back from work and omg, this is my favorite album of 2022. Jinki's voice is legendary and the songs are incredible. Seriously I'm beyond happy he gave us this gem!

Wow....Respect. and like no other the Shinee Members and Shawol experience and real respect, love and appreciation is REAL. It's a beautiful thing to see and to be part of. The genuine expressions really transcend "fandom" and trends....but are eternal. That is powerful stuff. Jinki's album is so good. With Voice he did establish himself as a balladeer but with Dice he's saying that he can do more than that, that he has range, that he can sing more than sad ballads and I absolutely love it.

I love hearing the viewpoint of people who study and know music. I love all six songs but my immediate favorites are favorites were On the Way, Love Phobia and In the Whale. Since the pandemic, I've missed seeing live music, especially jazz and classical, and although this is a departure, I love it. Reminds me of what we used to call lounge music with a city vibe (I'm from San Francisco, California). Onew's new Dice album has transported me 💜
I'm glad you heard DICE! 🎲♥️ I think you're right about exploring genres that are not common in k-pop. Actually, the name of the album is because of that (a dice with different faces) At the same time, the current trend in music brings back the sounds of the 90s or 00s, with a rock or alternative vibe. Suho did the same (Grey Suit sounds a bit like Radiohead's No Surprises) I like it, it's interesting to see how they adapt it to each artist. Onew's voice is delicious and I'm happy for him. He said that he no longer wanted to be known only as "the singer of ballads or OSTs" and he achieved it with this album ♡
To me, this album is The Cure dream sound but make it pop disco with Onew's gorgeous voice driving it! I love it! As always, great reaction! Was smiling the whole time!

I'm so happy for this album..loving the change in musical style and shows how vocally versatile Ji ki. I've just had the album on repeat all day...If I'm not watch the MV. He totally is our Sunshine...his smile🥰 In The Whale was his own lyrics..which he wrote while camping..because of course he did..😆..and he said it's for Shawols.. Dice, Sunshine and Love Phobia are my favourites atm..But the more I listen the more I love every single track... Only one little thing is the synth snare on In The Whale just distracts me from Jinki's vocals (which are stunning) but it maybe that I just need to listen to that track a bit more. Each song shows us a new palette of Onew's voice, we see that he had fun trying to modulate his voice and constantly trying to push his limits. They are all extraordinary, but I had a mega crush on LOVE PHOBIA ❤❤❤ She touched me so much vocally, that she made me shed tears, I don't know why her voice is so angelic and carrier of emotions. Onew has just given us a wonderful gift with this album, a superb jewel 💖💖💖 ............ J'ai écouté tout l'album, et je pense que vous allez à nouveau tomber amoureux ^^ ..... "여우비" (Yeowoobi) literally translated as Fox rain. It's the rain shower while the sun is shining brightly. An old tale, a cloud loved a fox dearly. But the fox married to somebody else so on the day of the wedding the cloud cried while the sun was up brightly hence the sun shower.

To learn more about each track and what he thought of it, I'd suggest watching his countdown live that he did prior to the release. It was fun and he seemed so happy and excited. I'd love to see Love Phobia live too. He practiced and went to vocal training and supposedly in Love Phobia he got to show a bunch of different vocal techniques and even Taemin said that he knows that's why Jinki likes the song. Jinki wrote In The Whale for Shawols and It's Minho's favorite song on the album. I love that all of the SHINee members supported Jinki through this process and gave their opinions on his songs and visited him on the MV set. Their love for each other and the fans is just so heartwarming. We are a super lucky fandom 💎❤️
From what I can understand, each roll of the dice can change the outcome of the situation. At first, it appears that only Onew has a die. When a die appears in the robot-like character's hand, it appears to be short-circuiting it because its hand is vibrating in a chaotic fashion. However, if you look at the girl's hand (right one looking at the screen) during the elevator scene we see that female protagonist also has a die, so she can also change outcomes. This is my take on it anyway. Others will have more input to clarify things...lol. This is such a fun video and a new side of Onew that I REALLY like, and I adore this new sound from him. I've already purchased the album from iTunes. Makes me wonder if he had a lot more creative input than his first album in 2018 because it always seems like when SM let's go and allows the members to take control of their music, the result is always so much more enticing, fresh, and fun. I also found it cute that Onew kept the album title trend alive that was created with Taemin's first album, "Ace" and then Jonghyun saying he "plagiarized" Taemin's album title by rhyming his first album title by using "Base". Then Key jumped on the bandwagon with "Face" and Onew with "Voice" and now "Dice". If you're familiar with SHINee at all, you can instantly recognize the SHINeeisms throughout the MV. The predominant color is the green-blue (called pearl aqua) which is SHINee's signature color. Overall bold coloration is reminiscent of Jonghyun's "She is" and "Shinin"; the party scene with bright fashion and green-blue liquid is reminiscent to the one in SHINee's "Married to the Music", as well as the "bleeding" lemon; insert Taemin's chainsaw fetish from "Criminal"; and the entire "world" he's in reminds me of a planet Key would discover within his "Bad Love" space explorations! Maybe it's because he doesn't have a solo album yet, but I'm still searching for any tidbits from Minho's "Heartbreak". One SHAWOL suggested the golfing scene may be a nod to Minho who loves golfing. If anyone discovers something else, please let me know.
this album is an eargasm! every song is from a different genre and as jinki said, it's called "onew". he wished to show his different colors through his music, he worked and prepared hard to achieve it successfully. *yeowoobi means "fox rain" a rain that fells when the sun shines brightly. in the whale, lyrics were written by onew, it's a song dedicated to shawols. he shared he came up with the lyrics while camping. it was really cold at that time 😂. it's impossible for me to pick a favorite track. I love each song for different reasons.

Onew without doubt is a talent. He has a great voice. But he is the best in more classical styles and blues ( his previous Voice is one of the more beautiful cds that I have, totally wonderful) I suppose this time they wanted to do something a bit more popular to the fans.It´s a great album , love dice, lovephobia, a bit of reserve about yeoobi because of the instruments used for me its a bit tiring to hear . From what I can understand, each roll of the dice can change the outcome of the situation. At first, it appears that only Onew has a die. When a die appears in the robot-like character's hand, it appears to be short-circuiting it because its hand is vibrating in a chaotic fashion. However, if you look at the girl's hand (right one looking at the screen) during the elevator scene we see that female protagonist also has a die, so she can also change outcomes. This is my take on it anyway. Others will have more input to clarify things...lol.
This is such a fun video and a new side of Onew that I REALLY like, and I adore this new sound from him. I've already purchased the album from iTunes. Makes me wonder if he had a lot more creative input than his first album in 2018 because it always seems like when SM let's go and allows the members to take control of their music, the result is always so much more enticing, fresh, and fun.
I also found it cute that Onew kept the album title trend alive that was created with Taemin's first album, "Ace" and then Jonghyun saying he "plagiarized" Taemin's album title by rhyming his first album title by using "Base". Then Key jumped on the bandwagon with "Face" and Onew with "Voice" and now "Dice".
If you're familiar with SHINee at all, you can instantly recognize the SHINeeisms throughout the MV. The predominant color is the green-blue (called pearl aqua) which is SHINee's signature color. Overall bold coloration is reminiscent of Jonghyun's "She is" and "Shinin"; the party scene with bright fashion and green-blue liquid is reminiscent to the one in SHINee's "Married to the Music", as well as the "bleeding" lemon; insert Taemin's chainsaw fetish from "Criminal"; and the entire "world" he's in reminds me of a planet Key would discover within his "Bad Love" space explorations! Maybe it's because he doesn't have a solo album yet, but I'm still searching for any tidbits from Minho's "Heartbreak". One SHAWOL suggested the golfing scene may be a nod to Minho who loves golfing. If anyone discovers something else, please let me know.

every song is from a different genre and as jinki said, it's called "onew". he wished to show his different colors through his music, he worked and prepared hard to achieve it successfully.
*yeowoobi means "fox rain" a rain that fells when the sun shines brightly.
in the whale, lyrics were written by onew, it's a song dedicated to shawols. he shared he came up with the lyrics while camping. it was really cold at that time 😂.
it's impossible for me to pick a favorite track. I love each song for different reasons.

In the whale makes me want to go on an afternoon car driver with my windows wide open and yes, it has melancholic vibes to it. That said, Love phobia is also my fav and we share the same reservations regarding Yeowoobi.

Onew without doubt is a talent. He has a great voice. But he is the best in more classical styles and blues ( his previous Voice is one of the more beautiful cds that I have, totally wonderful) I suppose this time they wanted to do something a bit more popular to the fans.It´s a great album , love dice, lovephobia, a bit of reserve about yeoobi because of the instruments used for me its a bit tiring to hear .
