Makeup companies really need to step up their allergen disclosure game in general, I feel legit terrified thinking about what could happen to people like you using a product you'd have no reason to think would have an ingredient like ginger in it!
Most of the time, when reviewing a disliked product, someone will say "there are much better options out there" . In my head i am screaming "WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS?!?!?"

OMG, I dont know _how_ CoverGirl is getting away with re-releasing the Outlast Lipstain. My jaw hit the floor when I saw that. I remember the original, chunky marker version. It was _also_ patchy and uneven.
At the same time as the original one, Revlon released a rollerball stain and I loved it. They made them in rich, dark, moody shades because they were capitalizing on the popularity of Vampire YA at the time. I miss those...
It’s so bad! I thought they might have improved it but it really feels like the same thing just thinner packaging. That rollerball stain sounds so interesting! I don’t think I ever tried it, but they should definitely bring something like that back.

Those rollerballs were so patchy on me and made my lips look horrible. I wanted to love them do badly, they seemed sexy. When lip stains came back I instantly thought of those and was so nervous to try any.

I'm shocked that they bring back the lip marker style back. Like i hated it back then and looking at reviews, all the same problems are still there. Patchy as hell

Got the ELF power grip primer as I sweat a lot and work out everyday… it’s AMAZING! I’m not really a make up person so comfort and sustaining coverage is key. This is a great one.

I have problems with watery eyes and oily eyelids, too. I've never found a completely budge proof liner (liquid or pencil.)
Watery eyes are so frustrating! Even some of my most long lasting products end up wearing off when my eyes are super watery.
I loooooove elf power grip primer! I even use it on my eyelids for shimmer shadows

I use it for my shimmer eyeshadows too! It's not my favorite face primer but dang, it makes the shimmers look great on my eyes.
Ya'll, this is BRILLIANT! My favorite eyeshadow primer ever was the Wet n Wild (photo focus, I think) in the white tube. I don't know if they discontinued it or not. I struggle so much with my shimmers popping.

I do really like the fenty concealer. And I’m 40, my under eyes are definitely dry

Surprisingly, I found the Rimmel eyeliner wore great on my waterline when nothing else does, and so does the Sephora collection. I have dry under eyes and tend to have to mix a tad of eye cream with my concealer but if I use just a little of the new Fenty one, it looks beautiful. You definitely only need a very small amount or it will look dry on me.
Yes! I absolutely agree. I LOVE their ‘wonder swipe’ eyeliners. They are so colourful and double as a high pigment eye shadow. I own so many shades, they are just too good not to get in my opinion!

I have a purple palette from Juvia's Place and I LOVE the pigmentation. There is quite a bit of fallout, but I just do my eyes before my face and sweep off my cheeks.
I can’t stand burning. That’s a hard no for me. I knew duck plump wasn’t for me

Wow the Fenty concealer is one of my favorite for dry undereye. It works GREAT on me 😍 I use a tiny bit and looks so smooth and hydrating like the Tower 28, again on my skin works.
These videos are an absolute must for me as 85% of my collection is Drugstore the other 15% is high end , I have to be so so careful with what I spend so I need to know I’m buying something good . We have very similar skin types and tone that I can order your shades and know I can make them work. I appreciate you so very much and knowing you have a Toddler and and your youngest Son is still very young and you put out amazing content for us is just incredible so thank you so much for everything you do for us.

I have the So Elemental palette from Colourpop and I actually love it! It performs well for me and the exact color tones are hard to find elsewhere
every time i watch a video and love your eyeshadow look, its cause you’re wearing the natasha denona palette! i’m on a no buy for a little bit, i haven’t been wearing a lot of eyeshadow lately, but maybe at the end of summer, i’ll treat myself for my birthday 😂😏 love these videos!

There’s something about the way the shimmers look on the eyes that just kind of sets it apart from other palettes. If you decide to treat yourself, I think you will love it! 💗

I personally recommend the colourpop cloud 9 palette over the elemental one! It's not nearly as blue but it's got a similar vibe

Yess that colourpop so elemental palette was the worst I’ve ever tried from them. I was so bummed because the color story was calling my name. I’ve tried it multiple times and it was so patchy :(
These videos are always super helpful and I love the addition of the alternatives! 💜 My biggest recent letdown was the About Face liquid lipstick - I love so many of the AF products (lip liners, foundation, eye primer) so I had high hopes for the lipsticks, but it was so hard to get an even application, it wore off & feathered terribly throughout the day and it has this weird medicinal smell 😐 I'll stick to the Milani stay put liquid lipsticks - much better formula!!

A really good muted blue eyeshadow palette is the Hershey Cookies and Cream eyeshadow palette in the white packaging. It’s such a great blue eyeshadow palette. It comes with a mustard brown which is perfect in the crease, with a blue eyeshadow look. And the shimmers are stunning! I like it because it’s not a huge blue palette, because I don’t wear blues that often so I didn’t want a huge palette 😊
The duck plump glass is fine to me. Just tastes sort of like cinnamon gum. I don't get a burning sensation from it. Maybe it's because I eat hot food all the time.
I feel like my tolerance for super hot things has gone down over the last few years so that could be part of the problem too. 😂
its actually my favorite ! the formula is thick & glossy, plus it is inexpensive 💋
For blue palettes (or any palette, really!) I would definitely recommend Beauty Bay, Trixie cosmetics, Prados Beauty, or Juvias Place!

If youre looking for a good muted blue palette i'd recommend looking into WAKEMAKE. They're a korean brand and a bunch of idol makeup artist use them! And if you want a similar milani tip pencil look into JudyDoll slim liquid eyeliner. The JudyDoll eyeliner is so thin you can actually use it to draw on your bottom lashes! I know it's not typical American/Western makeup but it's worth looking into :) love ur vids

There’s a NYX blue palette that seems to get good reviews with a similar color story.
I will definitely have to check it out! I tried one of their palettes last year and I felt like the quality was really good.
I like the color story of So Elemental, I've used it a couple times and I'll use it again, but yeah, sometimes it does take extra effort with blues & purples from a majority of brands I've tried. 😅

The best brow marker I’ve tried is the Maybelline Build a Brow. It deposits the perfect amount of pigment with a very fine brush. Plus it includes a brow gel.
i like the nyx marshmallow setting spray, it smells good and i normally use their matte version anyways, it’s basically the same thing.
For indie eyeshadow recommendations: cosmic brushes winter wonderland for blues and GLAMINATRIX rich romantic and kaleidos lunar lavender have the best purple mattes!

Have you tried the Thunder palette from Coloured Raine? I haven't tried it yet but it does have a similar color story to that ColorPop palette and it has good reviews. I've used another one of their palettes that's nice.

😮 I'm surprised the marshmellow setting spray didn't work for her. On my skin feels good and it sets my make up really well, and lasts very good during the day.

what is the best setting spray for like really locking stuff in? urban decay all nighter and charlotte tilbury i heard are good. caliray didnt work well for me unfortunately
Urban Decay is definitely my favorite for super long-lasting makeup. I also really like the LYS setting spray because it’s very lightweight but makes my makeup last really well! I’ve been testing out One Size and it’s really good so far!
i loved the colourpop so elemental pallet! you do have to use a good eye shadow primer. the colors make up for the problems with the formula imo

I remember the old Covergirl lip stain! I liked it as a lip liner only. R.E.M Beauty had one when they first launched that I used up. I really like it for a long lasting lip liner.❤❤
I don’t know why I never thought to use a lip stain as a liner, but it really does work so well!
Have you tried the Maybelline plumping lifter gloss? I saw a couple big beauty influencers give really positive reviews while also saying the “burn” wasn’t too intense, so I was sold. When I got them, I got 2 shades, & after I tried the first one, I had to return them both because I knew I’d never EVER reach for that product again. The burning was SO intense (& yes I was aware of the use of chili pepper, but I was not expecting my lips to be burning over a half hour later, & even after I removed the gloss.) Not only that, but it didn’t even plump my lips! So disappointed.
I actually haven’t tried those but I didn’t realize they had a strong burning sensation too! I feel like that’s something people should mention because it can be so painful. 😭 I feel like so many brands are including painful plumping ingredients in their products lately!
The Milani lip stain reminds me of the ELF lip stain and I didn't completely love that one. I do remember the original stain from Covergirl and liking it. I'm scared to try the updated one but I'll hold off for now.
It definitely feels similar to elf but just better pigment! I feel like a lot of people have said the new Covergirl lip stain is really similar to the old so you might actually like it for that reason!

Finally the cream bronzer from Milani are available in Sweden, but I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw the price😳! $27,52!!! Milani is probably the most expensive drugstore brand here. It’s safe to say that I’m not going to buy it. 💕

Winter Wonderland Palette by cosmic brushes would be a great blue purple palette. I have one of there palettes and the mattes are very nice

Andrea what do U recommend as a concealer type product that I can cover the redness on my entire nose & the entirety of both cheeks so I don't have 2 use as much foundation??
Elf Camo Concealer is definitely one of the fullest coverage concealers are the drugstore! If you have dry skin, I love the Catrice concealer because it has pretty good coverage but it’s super hydrating. For high end, Too Faced Born This Way (black cap) is so good that I even end up using it in place of foundation. The Natasha Denona has been my favorite for spot concealing lately too because of the nice coverage!
I use revolution green colour corrector under my foundation and concealer, I have extremely red skin (mistaken for bad sunburn ) and it works very well and I don't have to use lots of product like I used to

one size setting spray is a quality of life thing for me and i would gladly spend the $35 or whatever every month or whatever for it

I hate that fenty concealer too as well as the old matte one. It wasnt cakey. It was just soooo dry and the coverage is nonexistent

Is the glossier stretch concealer good for acne/textured skin?
I actually haven't tried that concealer! I need to pick it up because I do love their foundation.
I am not sure, as I've only used it more heavily in recent times. But I used to have drier skin and larger pores a while back, and I also have deep tear troughs, and I liked it back then. I like the stretch concealer for my undereye as I haven't noticed creasing
Definitely regret the Fenty concealer wish I had gotten the Natasha Denona one instead. Tfs.

I use About Face liquid eyeshadow for eyeliner. I just take a little off the applicator with an eyeliner brush and use it to do a big graphic eyeliner look. Sometimes when I've gotten super sweaty, some colours smear off a little, but for the most part, they stay literally all day and never budge. I've been misting my face with water all day today, it's midnight right now, I napped for several hours and rubbed my eyes, and my eyeliner looks almost like i just applied it.
Otherwise, there are a lot of colours of gel liner from colour pop that I like. Some of them get hard and I know there are tricks to melt gel liner, but that's way too tedious for me when I just want to bang out a look.
That is seriously such a good idea! I have a few of the About Face liquid shadows and I love the formula so much but I’ve never tried using it as eyeliner. I’m definitely going to try that now! 🙌

The problem is when they expect high end ingredients and technology at drugstore prices.

If Natasha Denona came out with a similar palette to CP Elemental in midsize I would be ecstatic
Winter wonderland by Cosmic Brushes, Oceanic by Ace Beaute, Oasis by Klarity Cosmetics, and the Icee palette from Glamlite are all beautiful blue palettes. Colorpop has a couple of blue palettes also, but I can't vouch for the quality. I think NYX did a colab with American Eagle that got pretty solid reviews.
My favorite blue palette is the small, white, Hershey white chocolate palette from GlamLite. It’s so good!

I have that Fenti concealer, recommended by the Saphora girl, disappointed. I was going to use it under eye area, it is dry and creating fine lines. I started drugstore journey because of it.

I like the plumping products but HATED the Duck Plump. Just horrid.

Bro, Ulta's blush stick is actual ASS. Same for the cream stick liners. There's literally no pigment and so patchy-
Not surprised to see an Ulta brand product on this list. I will however defend the Ulta brand Lip Stain, I absolutely LOVE them bc of how pigmented they are. Their shade range is unfortunate tho smh
Burt's Bees has an amazing catalog of stuff since they've expanded from just lip balms to full on skincare.
I was going to Elf gripping setting spray but on the app I saw their original spray that I liked. The one in the square brown bottle. So I ordered that and a lipliner.

I think LA Girl kicks Colourpops @ss with eyeliners. I dont understand why people like Colourpop. I have the rainbow, roll out thing.. I think they are terrible. Maybe they reformulated? I like creamy, glide on. Best eyeliner ive ever used is omg now I need to try to look it up. It was from Boxy but they only make black, brown, navy.. I'm going to see if I can find it. They would take over the eyeliner world.- PERSONA ♡♡
Personally, I don't like the liquid eyeliners from Colourpop. They are patchy and dry out quickly. The NYX liquid eyeliners are a lot better.

Elf eyeliners are actually super bad. I bought them last month, and regret buying them.
So frustrating! They have done such a good job with so many launches lately but the eyeliners were such a fail.
Another makeup TH-camr also didn’t like the colourpop so elemental palette either.
