I just appreciate that Indycar is posting their own old races. Them, and IMSA just have to put up their current races as well to have the complete package for global fans.
All of the CART commentators were great. They were very knowledgeable about the technical information, did an amazing job at informing the fans while not insulting their intelligence, and always captured the significance of big moments in races.
nyrmetros tell that to IMS and Tony George back then but they thought the IRL were the best. They didn’t realize they all needed the Indy 500 and CART being in the race made it bigger.

The last CART race at Homestead, but they did return to Miami in 2002 with a street circuit, Max Papis' first IndyCar win and Roberto Moreno matched his then-best career finish of 2nd.
Wonder what they will do with the 2000 race at Michigan. It's already upload by them. In fact, it was the first old race upload on this channel. Edit : And the race at Cleveland.
Reference to "Driven"! It still astounds me that nobody ever said anything about Sly Stallone making a CART movie while clearly wearing a 1998 era Williams F1 hat
Sly originally was going to make the Driven movie about F1. He couldn't get the access he wanted and politics with F1 made it hard. Even went to a couple races there. So instead he based it on Indycars.
@@tomwells8093 I know that, but the fact that nobody made any comment about the fact that this was a Williams F1 hat and not a PacWest racing (or even any other CART team) CART hat is amusing to me
Anyone remember the qualifying session for (im pretty sure) this race. I can't still remember that the penske cars took these super weird lines on the straights, the theory was to only keep air on one side of the car. Ice never seen anyone try that again.

IndyCar should've never left Homestead-Miami to begin with. It's one of the oval tracks that has to come back, and suits well with the current DW12s. Makes no sense not racing there.
@@HumbertoSaabedra Thats true, but let's keep in mind NASCAR races at IMS road course (owned by Penske who owns IndyCar as well) that means the opposite can happen as well - Indy racing at NASCAR-owned tracks. I don't see an issue in doing that, although it might never happen

even bobby unser?
Okay, to tell you the truth, I’ve only been following IndyCar for the past couple of years, so I’m not to familiar with Uncle Bobby’s commentary.

Correct me if I’m wrong, isn’t a Grand Prix a race on a road course?
Not necessarily in North America. Grand Prix is often used for any open wheel style racing.
