    Bianca was literally feeding Katie balls that were easily put away. She really needs to be more aggressive and move more quickly around the court. She’s reminding me of Sloane Stephens a bit

      @@iangalbraith1993Boulter is top 30 & has 3 titles, 2 this season. Stop disrespecting Katie. Also, if you knew about tennis, you’d have known that Bianca has been injured a lot over the past few years.

      @@iangalbraith1993 I disagree, Katie’s inconsistent and still doesn’t have a plan B which is why she’s patchy.. but when she’s playing well, she has the game a troubles Bianca. Not surprised by this result at all

    Hard to believe it’s been 5 years since Bianca was seen as the new superstar of Tennis. At this point just making it back into the top 100 would be huge for her.

    If Katie tidies up her game and becomes more consistent I can see her sneaking into the Top 10 or just outside it, within the next few years - if she’s playing well her striking is the same level as Kasakina, Navarro & Pegula.

    A confident and solid performance from Katie Boulter. The professional British tennis competitor undoubtedly keeps fostering the dynamism and alignment. Besides, self-reliance of Boulter elevated as part of this period in order to contend more intrepid and valiant than her toilsome adversaries. Particularly, the serve technique of Boulter expanded in terms of the dictation. It literally enables her to dominate the tussles and long rallies in her serve game. Well-deserved victory!

    Good game from Katie. Bianca's forehand looked underpowered, her anticipation was poor and she quit on points way too early. She looked like someone who either hasn't been putting the work in or has mentally switched off. Katie's had a great season though so hats off to her.

    Time to take issue with announcers like this one, who says that Andreescu is known as "a fighter." Cliche nonsense. Anyone who has followed Bianca since her championship days in 2019 knows that a fighter is precisely what she has not been. Quite often, if she doesn't win the first set, she loses the match. If she does not win her match in straight sets, she is almost guaranteed to lose it, or, as is often the case, she would retire from an injury, which may or may not have been legit, and sometimes just looked like fatigue or lack of will. She is a gifted, potentially dominant player at full strength, and also very attractive physically, and hence was a strong court presence on the tour, arguably a superstar in the making. Now, her appearances seem hit or miss, and her performances the same. Whatever her issues, her game is not in upswing mode. Stranger still, she is still only 24!

      You called all of it right and it’s a mystery. Looks to be in the best shape ever but her game has vanished. It’s sad. I do hope she can recover from her recent tennis problems and stand tall, whether she plays again this year or not.

    • @lanceb.
      @lanceb. ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@sportsmediaamerica I do not agree Bianca has retired from matches with fake injuries. In 2019 Bianca won many matches in 3 sets, often coming back from looking out of it, playing through fatigue and injuries. That year, she was known as a great fighter, with a 46/7 record. She has never put in a full season because of injuries. When she went out with the knee injury, she never played again for a long time. I predicted she would not be the same player again. More injuries and still trying but maybe she will not anymore. Who knows? Whether she does or not, I will always stand with her. To me and her loyal followers, there is no better person in any sport, with a heart of gold. We wish her well, no matter what path she follows.

    Well done Boulter. As a Canadian it pains me to say that Andreescu's match was a disaster . I'm very worried for her 2025 season . If she doesn't replace this trainig partner for a proper coach I'm afraid that her season will be even more catastrophic. Her footwork is weak for the wta average and her rx time is a mess ( often late to reach the ball ) . Her career doesn't go anywhere atm. She needs to be careful.

    • @pipikatchusbaby
      @pipikatchusbaby 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      agreed. her reaction time is non-existant - she barely returns 160kph serves and when she does, they land so short and are easy putaways. whenever her opponent plays with a slight angle and slight power, she's too slow to even attempt to get to the ball. it's such a shame because she's still one of my very favourite players to watch, but her game is deteriorated massively.

    Happy for Katie's win! As for Bianca, someone commented on her footwork in another video, but it's so odd to me how poor her footwork was in this match. She wasn't anticipating to pounce. If Katie's shot wasn't coming to her, she didn't even try.

Boultier blows it next round just used biancas fatiguing play August her. Flaky brits can't just take her on power for power being a jerk and just playing keep away.
