It was not so long ago that back in the west we shared a similar cultures. No outward affection, asking fathers permission to date or marriage and chaperoned dates. While free love was all the rage in big US cities. Conservatism was still a big deal everywhere else. I treked through rough mountain jungle at the age of 63 to ask permission from my wifes father for permission to marry her. So l still hold on to some of those values.
Yes things have changed a lot since those early days who knows what it will be like down the road things will keep changing. Wow that sounds like an adventure of a life time, well worth it i bet!
We don't live there right now, It would have been so cool to hang out with you guys, would have loved to go on an adventure or something! We want to go back and visit some time in the coming year, maybe we can meet up then!
