1st time subscriber and look forward to your future videos. I watch sports card content to escape the stress of my high pressure career and raising a family. Sports Cards / Hobby is like the matrix. I whole world like our own but so damn different. I also love to learn and the hobby is full of silo information as you point out in this video. Then I started to realize some content is shady or not accurate so I enjoy debating those creators. TH-cam Content is my hobby now.
I've been collecting sports cards since the 90's.. But now I just watch ytubers rips.. And it's a good reference on which product have a cool designs and at what price.. Thanks for sharing Stay safe
Because they have turned cards into gambling. And as humans, we are drawn in by gambling, or any kind of addiction. And I watch because it was on my front page and there are breaks in-between the anime I watch.
Oh and occasionally there are new sets, but I know what is coming in those sets. But I don’t want to buy a product that has had a card I want opened. Like Backyard Breaks or their friends get loaded boxes from Panini and I see them open all the top cards, and I no longer want the product. Btw, you want cards that are sold on the Japanese site. Those cards are printed in China which is better than the cards printed in Mexico. And this is online, in a few theories of theoretical physics, we don’t exist. So we are all just bots, and I don’t want to be in a group with bots.
**content creators that open the most expensive packs get the most viewers. Why? Since this has become a form of gambling, people want to see what they can’t afford to bet on.
This is a great point! I’m hoping to be able to open more expensive products down the line if I’m able to get monetized… it would be awesome to have the snowball roll down the hill with more views coming in for better product reviews so I can then take that money and in return buy nicer products
@@JoelsSportsCards in the end I’ve been opening expensive products because I can afford to open expensive products. But that means, like 80% of all box buyers, I have lost money per box bought. I believe I got a box of Impeccable soccer recently. About 300-600 bucks. My big card was looking huge, a Memorabilia of Yamal’s RC. That would have been worth a few thousand. But I opened a RC from Barca, should be exciting bc it’s Yamal… but it’s Acaron (I misspelled that). The difference it a few thousand to a card that is around 4.99. Then I opened a WWE immaculate. Box had an RPA of Kevin Owens and a 35/35 of Rey Mysterio. Not the big names you want. I only made the $600 back on a /25 dual sig of Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez. Which is about $600. But that breaks me even. The only box I’ve bought, out the 10-ish boxes I’ve bought (it’s around my birthday), was a box of NBA Select. Now my sigs in select were failures. 3 sigs or memorabilia per box, 6 packs. My best sig was a sig/Memoribilia was Toni Kroos, retired Bull. I only made money on a $600 box because of a Die Cut Ausur Thompson /65 (orange and black), a /249 die cut Jalen Brunson I’ll sell in NYC where he just signed an extension, and I was lucky enough to crack a Strather RC Courtside Zebra Print. Otherwise of all my boxes I’ve lost money. I’ve gotten cards I’ve wanted, like I own every bowman 2024 prospect. Every young soccer player, and have bought in auction every Wembanyama sig, bc it’s part of my collection. But I retired and can afford to buy cards. Losing money doesn’t mean much bc I collect. But people that open boxes online, you will only make back your money with ads from TH-cam and not living in a state like mine which has a close to 10% tax rate on sales. There is a trick to get top cards in specific boxes, but in the end, if I want to show people, and it’s still a hard buy, but what do I get? It’s days and days of research I do.
i watch these videos becoz to get ideas of products what they contain , i watch you because you speak clearly and present well
