Yeah, No one was guessing the NL ROY before the season started. Neither Harris or Strider were on anyone's radar until close to Mid-Season. But, that's the way it often goes with ROY candidates. Still, I know you whiffed hard on the AL east, but I'm actually pretty impressed with how close you were on calling the other divisions, including nailing both the AL West and NL East.
To be honest this was my first reaction video I've seen Marc do and I have to say this was my favorite video I've watched on this Channel. Definitely recommend more of these!
I'm a HUGE Orioles fan and even I thought they would end up in last place in the AL East this year. Glad the rebuild is advancing quicker than I thought it would. Let's go O's in 2023!

Dude, props to you to recap your predictions! Not many would do that! I thought you did pretty good! There are always weird teams that do better or worse than most would think. But, hey, better to be able to laugh at our mistakes! Great video Marc!
Honestly this is why baseball is so unpredictable. And that’s why we love it.
Phillies fan (phan?) here. As usual, I started off with great hopes. But that awful start made me realize that their last 2022 game would be on the 5th of the month in Houston, based on that post-lockout regular season schedule. Of course, I was right, except that it was in Houston on the 5th of November rather than the 5th of October.
During the season, I connected with some Padres fans and got caught up with their various ups and downs (Tatis, Hader, Soto, Machado, etc.). We were all astonished when it was our two teams that ended up in the NLCS!
Padres fan here. Glad us 2 being the 2 underdogs of the NL got to meet up in the NLCS. Both had fun teams, wish we had a more competitive series but once you beat was really rooting for you guys and bummed you couldn’t pull out. Hope the best for the Phils this year too. Hopefully my padres get them this time!
In hindsight, picking Toronto to win it all was a bit rough but I can't really begrudge you missing on the Dodgers/Braves/Mets, each of whom won at least 100 games and just got outplayed by a team that got super hot in October. It happens sometimes.
As a braves fan, that’s why I have always respected your NL east predictions. You understand that until the Mets beat the Braves or win the division the Braves will always be favorites. Great video! Excited for a fun NL easy next season
Ignores the fact that he didn’t even have the Phillies or the padres in the playoffs
Honestly, all of his predictions were realistic and made sense in a way except for maybe Luis Robert winning the MVP, but overall a ton of the things that happened this year weren't expected at all like as a Yankee fan, I saw us getting 3rd or maybe even 4th place in the AL East before the season started. I never heard of Michael Harris or Spencer Strider until like mid-season and no one saw the Orioles or Guardians being this good and the Tigers or Giants being this bad.
Did you expect Judge to be the bets in the world this season tho?

As an Orioles' fan for life -- big shoutout to the O's greatest baseball ambassador, Brooks Robinson! -- I entered the 2022 season more optimistic than most, but cautiously so, nonetheless (I was confident, at the very least, that the club would avoid another 100-loss season). Improvement was almost assured with Adley Rutschman slated to be the opening day starting catcher. While that didn't happen due to an injury he sustained, once he joined the team in late May, it became clear that the rebuilding phase was over as he made the O's demonstrably better.
I confess to being fairly amazed that the team posted a winning record, and brought them close to a playoff spot. Keep in mind that they did this despite Adley's late start, staff ace John Means' (no-hitter, All-Star appearance) lost season (he had two starts in April, then had TJ surgery to put him out for the rest of the year), and the anticipated August call-up of another pitcher with ace-like stuff. Grayson Rodriguez delayed until 2023 due to an injury. (Gray-Rod and O's infielder Gunnar Henderson should both be in the running for next season's Rookie of the Year!)
Depending on who they are able to add to the roster in the offseason, I full expect the O's to make be playoff contenders (I could see Boston and New York bringing up the bottom of the AL East, though not necessarily in that order).
0:14 I'm an O's fan and I honestly never thought they would start competing until next year. I don't blame anyone for placing them that low

First of all, props to you for revisiting your predictions.
Secondly, we should all remember that the postseason is a CRAPSHOOT. It doesn't matter who has the most talent (Dodgers) or who is the hottest going into the playoffs (Braves); or the coldest (Phillies). What matters is which team gets hot / lucky at the RIGHT TIME.

The best case most everyone was saying for the O's was 70 wins and maybe playing spoiler to some playoff teams as the season came to an end. If anyone said they would be above .500, you were either a liar who was trolling or had a DeLorean.

Otherwise it shows how volatile Baseball can be. The Red Sox went from ALCS to last place. White Sox finished worse than the Orioles. And the Giants went from 107 wins to around 81

While I’d love to say I told you so, as a Yankees fan I agree with him on us being a 3rd place team. I expected us at best to finish 2nd if Tampa struggled.

On the Tigers, no one could predict the season ending injuries to the starting pitchers, Mize, Manning, and Turnbull. When a team loses 60% of their projected starters, of course a team will struggle.
The Blue Jays were a good pick but the players underperformed. Can't predict that.

The blue jays aren’t that good. Everything when right for them in 2021 and they didn’t make it. In 2022 their hitting got worse by losing semien and their pitching staff got 10 times worse and people predicted them to win the World Series. Got swept.

Can’t blame ya for your Brewers and White Sox picks. Most disappointing teams this past season. Such high hopes for both, especially Milwaukee, after a 95-win season in ‘21 and four straight postseason appearances. They just didn’t address their needs or make the necessary roster upgrades. Injuries got the pitching staff real bad and the Hader trade was the dagger. Hope they don’t become an irrelevant team in the next few years because of this huge setback. They’ve been so close to appearing in their first WS since 1982 and they need to make that push and commit to being a win-now contending team like what we’re seeing with Seattle.
kinda weird, on espn site the standings have pirates 4th and reds 5th. but everywhere else have them reversed matching your prediction
The pirates won the season series against us so I’m fairly confident reds should be 5th but MLB themselves have pirates 5th. Weird
