I love it, too. I love the perspective of being mixed race (especially half Mexican) in 2016-7. It was a scary place to be, depending on where you were and who you were around. Still is. It's a HEARTBREAKER all around. I just realized in the conversation history with Lyla, They were talking about the 2016 presidential debates. Boy I remember that feeling.
I love the rug pull. This game sets you up to immediately get invested in these people, and gives you such a false sense of security, thinking something's going to happen much later like at the party or something, and then it just crumbles and explodes and self-destructs so quickly. It is so devastating, and that's such good storytelling.
The way it really hits you just as harshly as it hits Sean. Trauma striking from blue skies and suddenly everything youve cared about is gone or discarded
I've seen a lot of people talk about how they had a hard time caring about the people in this game, and I feel like that just tells me They have no empathy outside of their own personal experience. I feel like you, Calvin, are a very good example of the right audience for this game. Your heart will break. Many times.
LiS2 really is a gut punch. Having seen the news in even just this last handful of days, even six years later there's stories like this. Having watched you for a bit now and the first LiS, wishing you a strong heart for the rest of the game. Parts of LiS2 will come up in my mind randomly and hurt my heart even though I haven't played it in years. We all appreciate your open emotions and heart but be sure to take care too!!
A lot of life is strange 2 deals with social commentary regarding racism towards Mexican immigrants in America. The neighbors show animosity towards the diaz family and the cop racially profiling the children and father.
It's crazy how much better they got at natural teen dialog from 1 to 2. I love max and Chloe to death but Sean and Lyla sound so much realer (at least to me)
I'm sure you may have figured it out by now, but with the sketching/ drawing parts, you can just wiggle the left stick around when it's time to actually draw it until he says something. Although I can also see, as an artist, you being fascinated with seeing how they show it coming together. Totally up to you one way or the other
This is personally my favorite life is strange game. It’s a shame most people didn’t want to play it when it came out because it wasn’t with max :(
I hope I get super into tbh!

??how??? its like the most realistic tragedy in any lis game, idk how people cant empathize with this
i really appreciate you keeping the music on 😭 a lot of youtubers (understandably) mute it but it really adds so much to the experience

Yeah especially the year it is for sure a year that this became very much on the surface of things.

This game broke me. 😢 It's the saddest game I've ever played from start to finish.
AGH THIS IS THE BEST THING TO WAKE UP TO

Oh god I’m not emotionally ready for whatever this game is going to be
Yesss I love this game so much! It's my second favourite after True colours
