I use Adidas crazy lite basketball boots as I'm a size UK 15 or US 16 & they are great for ankle support & have a great gripping non marking sole. Needs must when manufacturers of boxing boots just won't go above a UK 13 or 14.
How close should your toes be to the end of the shoe in these? The size 9.5 feel good on width but seem like I’ll jam my toes when double jabbing. (My toes are a little less than a half inch from the end of the shoe). The size 10 are a little longer, but they feel too wide. (I had a similar issue with the Nike Inflict 3, which is known for being wide)
Love that wrestling is getting some love in the boxing community. There are some real nice wrestling boots that transition seamlessly for a fraction of the price. Adidas Adizero Varner Adidas Mat Wizard ASICS Cael 6.0 Nike Freeks (older version of Tawas) Nike Fury Those are my favorite cuz some other models tend to be a little low cut
I've never owned Nike boxing/wrestling boots. But I figured I'd explain why some people I know and I use low/short cut boxing boots. It's all about the footwork mostly. I feel I can most shorter boots to conform to my feet better. It may be psychological, but having your leg "attached" to your ankle feels like it inhibits motion. I don't know anyone who considers that less time to put on the shoes is a benefit. Mizuno short cut boots, "mid" fold over boots, asics wrestling and short cut boxing boots are the choice boots of most people. Lomachenko, Malinaggi, Berto, Judah, Victor Ortiz, Jesse Vargas, and countless Japanese fighters all prefer these shoes. It is just a preference though... and I can't speak for the above mentioned pros. I'm just pointing out it's common. Anyways, some people feel liberated in low cut boots, while others feel vulnerable. I can go back to using Reebok Renegade/Bucks without trouble... but the Adidas Box Hogs I've used 20 years of my boxing life now are extremely difficult for me to get used to. It's strange m8... Cheers! 🥊👍
Hi! I wear Machomai v2 in US 10.5, there is extra space in toebox which I like. Would you recommend getting the same size for these? Also, are the soles on these flexible? Easy to bend the shoe in half like Machomai?
@@Fit2Box My apologies allow me to clarify since they seem to be sold out for the most part worldwide when is there an expectation of a new surge in supply and sizes globally for ‘22 I believe the next model is called the HyperKo V2!
@@Fit2Box thank you, I’ll give both a try I think just to be sure. Never had a pair of boxing boots/shoes or wrestling shoes so I’m completely new to the sizing! Binge watching your content like I did the Rocky movies when I was 10 😂
What a pleasant surprise! Really wanted a review of these from a boxer. Great job Simon!
I use wrestling boots for boxing because they are just really light

Can you do a review of Necalli boxing shoes?
Had these for about a year and I prefer them over my hyper Kos
I wear them most days been very surprised how much I use them
what’s the sizing on these?
How long do these last?
@@Sp.jimmy1 still got them two years strong 💪😁
Is the "lace garage" an actual storage for the laces inside the tongue or just a velcro flap?
To me it looks like the Tawa is essentially a lower cut version of the Hyperko 2.0. Is that a fair assessment?
Same sole
similar upper material but upper on 2.0 is very different

U gotta review the Nike inflict 3s
My son just grew out of his Inflicts and loved them. Just ordered the Tawa’s to replace the Inflicts. Trying something new.
Review on like inflict ?
Are you able to take the insole out of these and put in an orthotic? tx

I had to go up a size
The sole is flexible but definitely sturdier than Machomai 2
Question…. Does anyone have a clue on the release date for the next version of the Nike HyperKo’s? Thanks in advance 🙏
Next version?

I have a question….
Have you watched the video ?
As the answer is in there 👍🏼
i just got mine for 90 euros i would say it was a amazing deal
Hi mate, they now have half sizes for the Olympic version. Would you recommend half a size now they are available?
My size up is perfect actually
I’m not sure half size would have been as comfortable

Are the shoes falling apart a bit? what I mean is that they will stretch a bit after heavy training?
Not at all they have been super durable
