Welcome to the Short Bus Diaries. Our latest adventure and probably our craziest idea yet. The main objective? To convert a short bus into an adventure vehicle to take us across the state in style but with a few extra modifications. To most people our short bus may look like a piece of trash but to us it's a blank canvas. A blank canvas for future fishing trips that can be improved upon with each adventure. To test the bus out, we decided to take it up to Idaho for its maiden voyage, the salmon fly hatch on the Henry's Fork. Heres to many more trips in the bus...

This looks like paradise! I can imagine having to improvise when things don’t go to plan and the memories these guys shared. The fact that they did what I’ve been dreaming of forever is amazing! and Hatch outdoors is the best company. On the ceiling inside the bus, attach some type of foam, put flies up there. Eventually, the whole top would be flies

So ,some things you could do to the bus .a couple of roof top tents , an en-suite outdoor shower with on demand hot water . 20-30 gallon water tank . Solar setup .(battery,panels,controller). Kitchen pullout with cooler/freezer. Awnings .

Yeah, but any way I look at your rig its still a bus. Nice nets. You're going to need a bigger board for Steve. The sculpin is very good bait for Brown Trout. I saw salmon flies, better get bigger rods. I always had my vice and breadbox of fur and feathers with me fishing Montana. The Smith River is a good float. Did it twice.
How do you guys like that Sotar? Which size is it? I have looking at those a bit, they look super nice. $10,000 raft being pulled by a $1500 school bus, that's how ya do it!
I think I've watchted this 4 or 5 times now and each time it gets better. I'm just entering my senior year of college now and this is something that just makes me get up and explore. BlueLineFlies also makes some KILLER streamers

I was watching you guys dragging those rafts over the sand and gravel, and wandered if they don't get damaged? Surely that amount of friction is not good? They look very tough and robust, but still🤔

Look into putting a front Storage rack and a back Tent Rack on top of the short Bus. See about putting a folding Hinge counter top on the side.

Check for an engine governor; might help with the speed issue. Generator maybe an upgrade to consider too

Sweet video like always! If that gauge cluster is still giving you problems there’s more than likely a problem with one of the plugs that needs soldered behind the cluster. Common problem with International. Can’t wait to see more. Cheers 🥂

Are they using a tippet ring with the sculpin patterns? Or a swivel? @8:58 you can see it above the fly.
I just bought a bus yesterday and had to drive it over an hour on the interstate my first time driving a bus, it was a little butt puckering at times
