I enjoyed watching you guys go through my home town. The old courthouse isn't haunted, but it has a hidden room. I can't tell how to get to it, because explorers may try to get to it. Some of the faces on the murals are not of historical figures, but of people that paid the artist to paint their face on the murals wearing an outfit from pioneer times (I met one of those people [passed-away by now, I bet]). One of the buildings by the farmers market had an airplane stored in it years ago.
I really enjoyed seeing Deland. It really is nice to see small towns that are alive and thriving. I live in Celebration but have never been there. Now it is on my list. Thanks! 👍🏼
I live in DeLand and appreciate your stroll in our little town. The building that referenced the human fly is a building of businesses. The small angel wings is for dogs and children. The city of DeLand is very dog friendly, as you saw. You will find the bat houses throughout downtown. The one time I don't go to the market, you visit.
Anyone else catch what Adam said at the stand with the honey and bees wax? He said, "I don't even want to ask what these are because it's none of my business". (... It's none of my bees wax!) LoL I used to hear that said a lot when I was a kid and I am 67 years old. Hadn't heard that phrase (none of your bees wax) in years.... Way to go Adam, I love your humor! 🤣

My mom loved going to the Athens. I went with her many times when I visited from California. She just passed away, so seeing you were just there yesterday and the video of the Deland sights was awesome! Thanks Andrew!
My daughter was married at Artisan Alley on St. Patrick’s day in 2018. Unfortunately, her husband passed away 3 months later. It’s such a beautiful area. Thank you Adam for showing it.

John Schneider actually still makes albums today and the Don Johnson album had a WAVA sticker on it which was top 40 station in the Washington DC suburb of Arlington VA. and I think was always in the top three stations in the area for a number of years

I lived in DeLand years ago . If the Holiday Restaurant is still open , go there to eat . I worked there and it's the cleanest restaurant I've ever worked at . The food was delicious too . Is the Putnam Hotel still there ? DeLand has beautiful Rain Trees too . Not to far from Daytona is a plus .
The original location the Holiday House Restaurant by Stetson University became Cook's, which I believe was somehow a relative of Willa. I don't know if Willa's paintings are still at the original location or not. It still is a very popular restaurant in town. A few years ago The Holiday House name was transfered to where the Denny's Restaurant is now. I didn't like the looks of the new location, so I never went to the new location. I don't know the reason for the move, but Willa the famous former Cypress Gardens water skier has passed away. As for the Putnam Hotel, It's two bars went out of business years ago and the hotel (sleeping room/apartment) part of it caught on fire a few years ago, but they are slowly restoring it.
Oh nice, I literally live like 5 mins from here. I go to the record store (groovy records) occasionally (they have a dog that walks freely in there. Dont worry, he is very nice and name is Danco, I think thas how you spell it), buy ice cream, take walks an stuff alot around here. Not sure if you mentioned it but there's also a small retro arcade that opens late that you can go an play for like 6$. People in there are chill dudes. Pretty chill little area I'd say myself. 👍🏼

My hubby and I luv deland we usually lodge in daytona and take transportation to deland and spend entire day downtown and around its nice they courthouse is beautifully
The best thing I did was leave this city its nothing to do boring, I live in Hallandale Beach which is next Miami and Hollywood Beach the night life is amazing and its always some were to go and enjoy yourself
I love downtown Deland. We also have a car show there once a month on Saturday afternoon in front of the new courthouse. You should check it out if you like old cars.

Deland florida has a cool bike rally the first Saturday during Daytona Bikeweek with vendors, bands, bikes, and babes about 7 days ago every year.
