Silver not having a last name just amplifies the fact that Love is more than Blood and i think its a very sweet and powerful metaphor too- since Surnames are VERY important for Japanese people!! Hell, people even mention the surname FIRST to show what clan/family status they are. (similar to the Kims of South Korean Culture) the modern Japanese people just adopted this practice.
THIS IS LITERALLY SO CLEVER! I feel that it might lead up to an emotional plot point in which Silver will get his last name, what a beautiful lead-up. For some reason I never really realized that was the case, but it seems very obvious now.
You know bringing up what happened a long long long time ago in Briar Valley. This also brings up another question that I still have so the Princess Glow that Henrick (also F*k Henrick) wanted… what happened to it after Meleanor was tragically struck down. Like it just disappeared and there was ever no mention of it whatsoever

I think we all collectively agree, Fuck Henrick
Reminds me of DND where elves have a childhood name then when they become an 100 years old they will be earn an adult name.
An interesting perspective. I just mentally call him Vanrouge sometimes
This is so helpful, I've been wondering about this for such a long time because I find it very weird, thank you for posting this:D
