    Thing is if you do all of this except combing ,won't make a difference. If you turn off combing you increase print times by 20-40%. It's wild they haven't this yet. It's essentially a broken machine that can't function as advertised.

    I have had that problem with my Ender 3 S1 Plus. I could hear this noise like the tip was hitting something and I could figure out why. Perhaps I need to look at those settings for it in the slicer.

    • @carphotography
      @carphotography  ปีที่แล้ว

      yes give it a try, just be aware that these settings do add a bit more time, but everything seems to run smoother.

    • @Jin-Ro
      @Jin-Ro ปีที่แล้ว

      Klipper by any chance? Same issue on my S1 Pro. Talking to Creality now. I'll be insisting on a refund if they can't fix it. I'm all out of ideas.

    • @jayson8118
      @jayson8118 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @kimjongil6294
      No ; no klipper. It has something to do with the type of infill and the nozzle seems to hit certain parts as it travels across the print. I haven’t got back to printing cause of back pain issues have prevented me from doing work to my printer bench. Looking to put bracing on the bench legs to make it more stable platform . I think there is a setting which makes the printhead lift slightly to miss clipping other parts of the print. Apparently the FL Sun v400 is a culprit but if you change 2 settings in your slicer it stops it ! When I buy 1 I will be testing this theory !

    • @Jin-Ro
      @Jin-Ro ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jayson8118 The setting is Z hop. But really your printer should know where the print ends.
      I've just removed Klipper and printed with the stock firmware and still an issue. So a printer issue for sure.
      I've just read that over extrusion could account for it, so I'll check that too. Good luck!

    Thanks for sharing. I’m not on Facebook so I’m wondering have you heard anything about crappy first layers? Their sample prints are fine but anything I slice has a bottom either really stringy or rough like 80 grit sandpaper. I’m positive it’s settings but I can’t figure out which ones need adjusting.

    • @carphotography
      @carphotography  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it sounds like your z offset, on the pad set Z to zero and recalibrate with the paper once you got it just right make sure to click save on the computer or go to console on pad and type save_config, i did make a calibration video, make sure you wipe the bed over each time. mine has been fine, check your belts and oil the rails, another video on that if your unsure.

    • @braddahr
      @braddahr ปีที่แล้ว

      @@carphotography you may be correct. What was messing me up was their included models (bunny, bolt/nut, etc) were printing fine but mine weren’t. Since I messaged you, between settings, another levelling, and testing the Z axis, I’ve achieved decent results. This 3D stuff is very cool and very maddening!

    Crashed my flsun v400 by scraping on the work piece. One of the arms let go on the printer head. After reattaching it, the planes of the work platform and the working planes are off by more than 12mm between the extreme xy and the z axis on this machine. Do I have to tweak the configuration codes (parameters) to get this machine working again, but which ones.

    • @carphotography
      @carphotography  ปีที่แล้ว

      wish i could help you with that but you will have to speak to FLsun, or join the facebook group and ask on there, i am really not sure, thank you, these settings in the video did get rid of all my scraping though. so make sure when you get it up and running to add these settings. good luck

      You may want to check your belts this happened to me and it stretched one of my belt by about 15mm and I could see the fibres inside it. They are simple to replace yiu just need to get about six or so meters of 10mm wide gt2 belts. Take the old ones off loosen the tension bracket at the bottom. Put new belts on. Tighten the belts to about 50hrz ( use a guitar tuner app to find that and strum the belt like a bass string with the arms all the way to the top at home ). Then run your bed mesh etc all over again you should be good
