A visit to the Perhentian Islands is taking a step into a rare, exotic paradise, and the perfect place to reconnect with nature-and your own self.
Your Perhentian Islands tour begins on the northern coast of Peninsular Malaysia, where the two islands are located. These islands are ringed in pristine white beaches, and there are no roads to get from one place to another; should you wish to visit different parts of the islands, you can take pathways through jungles teeming with wildlife, or hire water taxis to shuttle you from one village to the next.
The Perhentian Islands are part of the Perhentian Marine Park, which is home to some of the best diving in the world. Because the park is a nationally protected area, activities like water skiing, jet skiing, and fishing are prohibited in the immediate area. These quiet, clear waters are the perfect place for you to snorkel your way through gorgeous coral reefs and photograph some of the local sea life.
Once you’re out of the water, your Perhentian Islands sightseeing will reveal a simple, relaxing lifestyle waiting for you. A number of accommodations are located right on the beach, so you can walk from the water into your rental. Stretch out on the sand with family and friends, or go for a hike in the jungle. Just remember to get back to the shoreline in time to watch the sun go down: it’s one of the most striking scenes you’ll ever see.
How long have you needed a trip to the Perhentian Islands?

I was a boat people refugee from VN, arrived safe in Malaysia in 1979. Today, Im a Canadian. I always remembered the salty ocean air , the kindness of Malaysian red cross, the bus driver who bought us curry chicken on the way to Kuala Lumpur. It was the tastiest chicken in my life. I will return to visit Malaysia as tourists with my family. Malaysia is on my bucket list.

The most beautiful place I've ever been to. Stopped off here on a trip from Singapore northbound to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Absolutely nothing on my travels compared to this, the most quiet, beautiful and relaxing place I've ever been.

Visitors may take a boat ride from Kuala Besut jetty to the islands as well. From Kota Bharu, visitors may take rental car to Kuala Besut traveling ahead to Tok Bali in Cherang Ruku before reaching Kuala Besut jetty.

Boat transfer is from Kuala Besut, Terengganu not from Kota Bharu, Kelantan. It took only 40mins ride.

Both are fantastic destinations, so you really can't get it wrong.
We just launched a new app to help people find out more information and explore different destinations, we would love for you to try it out and give us some feedback. I hope it can help your decision.

Thai islands to be more kinky....have blatant sex trade..full moon parties...
Malaysians who inhabit the Perhentians/Redang who are Muslims but not overly conservative..will not give everything to tourists..someone tried to make a full moon party in the Perhentians an it was opposed and shut down by the locals. So...Malaysia islands are more family friendly...no prostitutes o child sex workers going for your crotch and wallet nd no wild parties.
