I have the vivoactive 4 and love it. Looking for a new watch since I saw the 265 was like green and had active coaching to help do different runs va my normal 3-6 mile runs. Does the vivo 5 have this feature??
I have the vívoactive 5 and it does have alerts you can set per entire workout or its parts such as minutes or distance.
For example you set you want to run 5:00/km for first 15 minutes, then 4:50/km for next 5k and so on. You can switch to next section via lap button.
You can set to be alert on pace, HR, etc.
Alerts are done via vibration or sound (when connected to headphones)
There is also Garmin Coach available.
However PacePro feature is unavailable.
They both have the Elevate 4 HR sensor.
Will be getting the vivo active 5 but that forerunner slim is a definite contender…I’m not a runner but I do have a bike but I don’t use it all that much so I just can’t justify the jump in price. I love the sportier band on the forerunner…maybe I can find a similar band for the vivo5
The Forerunner Slim's sporty band does look cool. If you're not running much and don't use the bike often, the Vivoactive 5 makes more sense budget-wise. You can likely find a similar sporty band for it. Practical and stylish!
