I love this interview and he’s conclusions. By the way: Consciousness doesn’t arise from matter; matter arises from consciousness.

It's actually a shallow premise that has been refuted with basic reasoning a long time ago.

I think the reason life only started once on earth and went from there is that it only needed to happen once. Once you have something that reproduces and evolves, it will spread exponentially.
If you have a mix of chemicals and a chemical reaction starts, that's the one that goes to completion, even if there may be other reactions that are also possible.
Going on one path starts to make the other paths less and less likely. Especially with life.
Actually, we don't know if it only happened once, do we. Maybe there was something like RNA and DNA that could've evolved, different but probably similar, but it was just slightly less effective, or it statistically just happened too late.
Yes finding DNA on another planet would support panspermia, but i really don't expect that we will find that.
Also, think about all the solutions that are like DNA that are possible. They are all going to be based on similar chemistry, based on the same principles of entropy and evolution. At the base level they will probably all be somewhat similar.
We do still have organisms the only use RNA instead of DNA.
Another thing is chirality. All of life now uses the one chiral version of glucose, and the same chiral versions of amino acids. Life will change it's own environment and lock itself into one path.
An organism now can't just start using D-Phenylalanine instead of L-Phenylalanine. Even though both probably would have been usable in theory.
Life builds on itself and it's not possible to go back one or multiple steps. Even if an asteroid hits, this did not really affect life on a fundamental level of earth. It did not wipe out all of our inheritance.
Another thing is time scale. Planets with life could in theory be like plants and pollen. But evolution takes many many generations. As he said the sun is only in it's third generation it you want to look at it like that. You can't have evolution with only one to three generations i would think. It could be possible in the vast future of the universe, but we're still here at the beginning.

Reality in the base of our skull in the back of our head in a dark grey mass of tissue. That which seems to be outside of us? Is the same world that is inside of us. Consciousness and matter are inseparable. They are one and the same. We live the story our five senses tells us. When we dream we create the world inside our mind. Think about it. If we trick our senses we can create a virtual reality. And here we are. I feel I have a higher self and that this universe is not real. Even science agrees. The Nobel prize in physics was awarded in 2022 for over fifty years of research in quantum science. They have proven the universe is not locally real.

Just like getting lost in a book we will live the experience not knowing who we really are.

Part/hole of one. An alien being might recognize our dna when they see it as being from the Milky Way galaxy on a planet called earth.

May this note find us all ever closer to God, and Peace.
In my past Catholic Apologetics directed toward those that are resistance because of misunderstanding of Science, that is defines religion away, as I was .. the kind of arguments and suggestion of science theories that explain Catholic doctrine and scripture mysteries, ..
.. that I suggest the Multiverse and many versions of Jesus' life, to explain some of the difference of his Passion, and other similar Book's variations.
The reason I mention it that I suggest that their are very many similar versions of us lives we are living now, some very similar except for delays in time, that there is cross-talk to some degree explaining lab tests that show we know answers before we can neurologically be possible to know - as experiments have shown.
In this, one can argue there is a greater Self that we have only a tiny access to.
    God Bless., Steve
