Thanks to one of your previous videos I rewired a fridge that I had quit using because the electronic board was fried. A new board was somewhat over $400. For less than $100 in parts (defrost timer, thermostat, and termination switch) I now have a functioning fridge again which will probably outlast anything currently made. On the Ranco thermostat normally -18 degrees celcius on the cold plate gives you between +2 and +4 celcius on the fridge. On that one I calibrated it to a warmer temperature and a longer defrost cycle because of the big cold plate.
The phrase Horse Power was used to determine the strength of a motor. A more modern classification of motor strength is in watts. Some compressor manufacturers mark the wattage on the compressor label, and some will use a code for which you will have to find a reference document from the manufacturer to determine the wattage. For example if we take a 1/4 horse power which is more or less a 1/4 of 750 watt = 187 watts but you can get a smaller 1/4 at 170 watts and a bigger 1/4 at 190 watts.

could you explain the pins on mechanical thermostat ?
That is a single door thermostat, 2 contacts only normally closed, temperature range on the thermostat bulb minus 26 to minus17 degrees C
