We have the first song released for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024!
Earlier today, it was announced that Slimane was internally selected by the French broadcaster France 2 to compete at Eurovision 2024, and tonight, Slimane's song "Mon amour" premiered on the show JT de 20h on France 2.

Slimane is my favorite French singer since 7 years, I’m from France and he is AMAZING, I’m so happy he is representing our country for Eurovision. His song is incredible like always, everytime he sing something it’s beautiful😍

Beyond the beautiful et sad Love song, there are here many great points to talk about : a french singer with arabic origins singing a love song written with both of his jewish friends in these dark times we are in… it’s beautiful. Also Slimane is a single dad, very humble, kind and loving person.
Hi Noosh. If you really want to be blown away, then do react to this INCREDIBLE video by 15yo Dutch girl, Emma Kok singing "Voila" in French, live in orchestral concert. Try not to cry. Emma has a terrible stomach disease but has a superb voice. You have to listen to the intro about her, then the song. It's gonna blow yr mind & touch yr heart. Most INSPIRATIONAL ....

Slimane is a great French singer who won The Voice France after an amazing blind audition and run on the show. I'm so proud that he represente France in this competition. I wish him good luck 💖

As French i can tell you Slimane is one of our best singer of Last years. In France we are so proud to see him represents our colors.

Actually, Slimane have 4 albums, 4 #1 albums in France, Belgium and Switzerland. 2 Millions albums. This is the first time in a very long time that a successful French artist has agreed to represent the country at Eurovision. This is huge.

Literally just watched it and got chills, every bit from the song stands out somehow but still never overshadows his voice because DAMN
The shot during the last chorus when the sequins were reflecting the light on the ground and when he was standing in the spotlight actually reminded me of Barbara Pravi's Voilà. This performance and song are absolutely stunning, it's only been out for a couple hours and I'm already listening to it on repeat.

I think FranceTV is trying to make Eurovision popular back in France by bringing a successful singer into the contest for once. He has a SPECTACULAR voice and a pretty big fanbase so we most likely could see a lot of French fans in Malmö. I was kind of sensing he would be chosen as he fits perfectly the vibes of the contest.
France is not taking a huge risk by sending a *very* French ballad as always but hey, as a French person, I am so proud of this entry ! Could not be happier, get ready to cry during this one, go Slimane 🇫🇷💙

To say i was excited when i saw he would represent france is an understatement. I've been a fan of slimane for a while and he did not disappoint this is acc so beautiful. This has to come top 10
I agree. I was a bit afraid at first that he was simply doing a song to much like Voila, with the light and hand movement but the song stand finally on it's own merit. Don;t know if we have a chance to win, but we will not be ridiculous with this song, top 5 I think is a possibility but we'll see what the other country will offer

This is the first time it has bothered me that France goes straight to the finals and that's because we only get to hear him live twice.

Seriously though I loved this. I listened to the studio version first and I originally told myself “as long as he can perform this live this will be an absolute moment and should do really well”. Noosh, I am so happy to see you back for another ESC season! But I am even more happy for France and Slimane! I have more or less followed Slimane for some years. I just love his voice and the rawness and tenderness it conveys. He is a great live artist. And the song did not let me down. This might very well end up my number one in May.
I don’t mean to exaggerate, but this song is truly a masterpiece 💫 so proud that Slimane is la zarra’s successor to represent my country. He’s a great vocalist and his interpretation is so outstanding it gives you goose bumps from the very first chorus. France do what they do best, a ballade about amour. But there is nothing new here. we have hard this before. However he has a strong voice and a shiny costume. So they will be top ten this year. PS the best ballade ever from France was from 2001, when they got a 4 th place in ESC with Natasha St-Pier.

I feel like this is just SOOOO early to start the season. It is a good song. He has a beautiful and rich voice. But he isn't really reinventing the wheel much with it having sounds and presentation similar to Evidement + Voila in a way.
For my part there was no better choice............ to lose. When you've lost all your illusions. It remains to lose the illusion of believing oneself to be without illusions. The only time wasted is the time spent regretting missed opportunities. But you're probably right. It's better to miss your chance than not to have tried it. I conclude by saying that in a contest like Eurovision. There are three factors. Talent, luck and hard work. With two of these factors, one can succeed. But the ideal is to have all three ..... which is not the case with Slimane's song !!!
