ब्रह्मदेव के पूजनोत्सव क्यों नहीं मनाए जाते? / Why are Brahmadev’s Pujanotsavs not celebrated?

Once, there was a dispute between Brahmadev and Vishnuji regarding their superiority. Soon, the argument escalated into a fierce battle. Amidst this, an Agnistambh suddenly appeared, with no beginning or end in sight. It was decided that Vishnu would take the Varaha Avatar to find the beginning of the pillar, while Brahma would transform into a swan and seek its end. Both of them were unsuccessful, as the pillar's origin and end were elusive. Vishnuji conceded, acknowledging his inability, but Brahmadev falsely claimed to have found the end. At that moment, Bhagwan Shiv emerged from the pillar. While Vishnuji was praised for his truthfulness, Brahmadev's arrogance led to him being cursed by Shivji. Since then, Brahmadev's temples and festivals became rare.

एक बार ब्रह्मदेव और श्रीविष्णु में श्रेष्ठता को लेकर विवाद हो गया। जल्दी ही कठोर शब्द बाणों में बदल गए और दोनों के गण भी आपस में युद्ध करने लगे।
इस ही बीच वहाँ अचानक एक विशाल अग्निस्तंभ प्रकट हुआ। उसका न आदि न अंत दिखाई पड़ रहा था। तभी यह निर्णय हुआ कि विष्णु वराह रूप धारण कर स्तम्भ का आदि खोजेंगे और ब्रह्म हंस रूप धारण कर उसका अंत।
लेकिन दोनों ही असफल रहे क्योंकि उस अग्निस्तम्भ का आदि-अंत था ही नहीं। विष्णुजी ने तो मान लिया कि वह स्तम्भ का आदि खोज नहीं पाए किन्तु ब्रह्मदेव ने अहंकारवश कह दिया कि वे स्तम्भ का अंत देख आए थे।
तभी उस अग्निस्तम्भ से शिवजी प्रकट हुए। विष्णुजी की सत्यनिष्ठा को देख उन्होंने श्रीहरी की बहुत प्रशंसा की।
लेकिन ब्रह्मदेव के अहंकार और अपने आप को सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रमाणित करने के दुर्व्यवहार को शिवजी क्षमा नहीं कर पाए और उन्होंने ब्रह्मजी को श्राप दे दिया।
तभी से संसार में ब्रह्मजी के मंदिर और पूजनोत्सव दुर्लभ हो गए।
