6:51 All very good advise Gary. I do all the practices that you suggest,and have been for quite awhile. I have a problem that I feel is quite unique, but probably is not. I have an illness called Sickelcell. Just when I feel really like I'm getting where I want to be with my horn,I will get sick and have to take time off. But no complaints, I never thought I would see this age 66.when I was born Dr's told my mom I would probably make it to 14. But now my problem is getting back out into the world, at 40yrs old I met the love of my life and chose to only take daytime gigs (while kids in school) as a family we played daily,soon they passed me up, but I truly enjoy going to see them at great venues in the U. S. (Carnegie Hall) (Dizzy's Jazz club) but on my own I don't really feel comfortable hanging with the young crowd, so I just spend my time busking. BTW idk if there's a question in there lol. @@vancenimtz2311 Hey Vance, yes, I've heard of sickelcell. That sounds tough, I hope you are managing it well. As you say, getting back into the world can be tough. Take it easy and take on what you feel you can handle.
@garyalesbrookmusic the hardest part is,I nor my wife no longer drinks or smokes,she never smoked. Every now and then if someone passes the smoke to me,I will take it to be socociable, actually it's good when I'm practicing lol,instead of practicing 1 hr, I may go 3 lol. The daughter will be graduating from college soon. My son has about 2 yrs. I really look forward to playing with those two,they are awesome. They probably don't know how much I'm learning from them but truth, I got tired of leading a long time ago, I want to make som harmony. If you get time, my daughter is Fumie son is Melvin same last name. She does FB,Instagram, TH-cam, same with him, not too much FB. Idk why he doesn't like it. Later for now G.
