This ZEQ/CEM type design is (r)evolutionary..but its a pretty obvious concept to anyone with an engineering background, ie to balance the load .. it just simply makes engineering sense.... if you are not convinced, replicate the last 30 secs of this video with a GEM design...
Why nobody invented these before. GEMs are overrated ;D How does this mount deal with meridian flip, could it be avoided maybe with some tripod / pier setups? Also I see there is CEM25P and CEM25EC, it is unclear what are differences.

The EC version has optical encoders which improve the tracking accuracy.
