Isakusan was responsible for Volume 1 Chapter 3 story, and now he has resigned from Nexon. One could argue and interpret that Chapter 3 storyline serves as a poignant and heartfelt farewell message from Blue Archive itself, since he said it was an honor to be able to finish this arc.
Yeah, I think there was an interesting line, something like "A healthy organization is not affected by the presence or absence of a particular individual". But a story writer is not an easy position to replace, but we'll see.

It also gives more room to new writer since it's just the introduction. But now it makes sense why it ends at that point, I guess isakusan already planned to step down around that time.
