Will you be able to shorten the hydraulic hoses to make it a cleaner install?
@@williambigsby4031 you can not. You will still have to coil the extra up.
I noticed that you mounted the brace kit on the atlas hydraulic jack plate in the holes closest to the transom but I also have seen other installs were the brace kit is installed in the 2 holes that are set back closer to the engine does it matter which holes the brace kit are mounted to.
I mounted mine the same as you did in this video
Either set of holes work fine. We typically mount them on the inside holes to set the poles closer to the transom. It's all personal preference and the look you want as either option is fine!
Nice detailed vedeo. I just purchased mine today in the black out. So i have a Trito 18Trx with an 8" atlas hydraulic jack plate. Will this same dual brace kit work for my boat?
You can check with Power-Pole but the PKBD-S-2-6 is the most common bracket for us!
So getting the one box you said at the start will not allow you to fix this to any boat. ?
AS there is a fixing box.
You will need the correct adapter plate and hardware depending on your boat setup.
