Another super tech Tuesday, Rick, Chuck, and great to see Ryan at the close of your beautiful rides. Hi Ryan, looking forward to you behind the wheel soon. Doug
Love Tech Tuesday, looking forward to your delivery vlog. Your right it’s hard to remember everything at delivery. Thor’s will be thrilled her artwork hits a world wide audience 😁
Thanks Mike. There are so many great ones out there, yours among the best, but I really am super happy with mine. I wish I had some extra cash, I would get wheels similar to yours but with red accents.
@@RickCorvetteConti didn’t know exactly where to ask and maybe Chuck can help. Got the ‘Rear Axle System Off’ on my 2020 Z51 a week ago and it’s in the shop. My research and talking with a plant rep, the body valve may need replacing. This was an issue with C7 which had totally different tranny. Is this ‘Body Valve’ a common part with the DCT and what else might be issue. 7370 miles, 26 months of ownership, no tracking and this is killing me and the DIC message also gave a CEL. Thanks! Great job on tech Tuesday, I’ve been waiting 11 months so far, hopefully a couple months away until I watch today a saw constraints on the 70th more info than I’m getting from my dealer
As usual this was an amazing tech Tuesday. Thank you Rick & Chuck. My son and I love your Tuesday vlogs. So glad you decided to do another one this week. We appreciate it very much. All the best to both of you and we look forward to the next one.
When we got our ‘15 ZO6 (w/ZO7 package) new from a Dealer in Northern Virginia, we got the see your car, see your keys see ya later. Car was over $100k and that’s what we got even back in 2015, so that’s nothing new.. Thanks to your channel I’ve learned more from you, over the years, than I got from the Dealership that sold us the car. Thanks Rick
Tech Tuesdays are so good love the information and beautiful cars..........Great picture of you & your son......This is an awesome picture and hope you post in your office or in your house!
Hey Rick, thanks for including my car (20:24) in this video. Well, I didn't win the Carbon 65, but I think we are still in the running for the Rapid Blue C6 ZR1. Good luck.
Rick and Chuck I watch all your videos and enjoy them all but I especially like your Tech Tuesday segments. Keep up the good work! I recently took delivery of my 2023 C8 2LT coupe and I absolutely love it. I have 1500 miles on it and have not had any issues with it so far. When I took delivery of it my salesman said that I probably knew about the car then he did. I told him it was because I watch Rick Conti's vlogs. Thanks for all the great content you share with us Corvette guys.
It makes me sick and nauseated to hear someone is getting their 5th Stingray and I have been waiting on Rick’s list since January 2021! I just want one to keep and pass down to my kids when I die with a smile on my face from driving the wheels off of it! Thanks Rick and Chuck for all your hard work and time.
It amazes me how a little rock or pebble could get hung up or caught in the brake rotor assembly, it happened to me once and the squealing noise was just awful Rick and Chuck tech Tuesday always on point...
Thanks for the information for the cable breakage and probable supplier, design change Rick. The dealer I went to was Myrtle Beach Chevy they ordered the cable but it's on back order at this point. I just hope they ordered what Chuck specified he ordered that cable and any other components to fix it. Great Tech Tuesday Rick and Chuck with your beautiful rides. Have great day Rick.
I might be lucky on those things. First is that Chevy Dude showed me things on my 2022 C8 and answered all my questions during the delivery. Second is that my C8 has no transmission issues after 4th track event. 5th track event will be next month. Thank you for your time on this vide, Rick and Chuck.
Please do that full delivery video and also updates-I’ve not followed up as much as I should. Possible tech Tuesday question “From my good buddy Steve, I’ve sort of not kept up with over the air updates, how do I begin to solve?”
Saw that Beaver and Mike (Streetspeed717) gave you a shout out on their last Vlog! Appreciate this video…gave me something to do while I recover from Covid 😮 You’d think getting to nap all day would be a good thing but it gets old 😅
I understand completely about the convertible, especially with all the motors, sensors, gizmos and such that have to bring that top up and down, that's why if there's a manual convertible top, that's always the best way to go, or like they say make it simple stupid.
Great job you and Chuck really give us some great knowledge of the car the HCT was important to me because thats what I am going to order .....thanks again Rick
Hi Rick, LOVE your show. You and Chucky are Amazing. Glad you all got through covid. Pretty scary stuff. A full delivery video would be Fantastic. I hope to have my c8 in September after waiting 2 years, Kind Regards, Gary in Niagra Falls Ontario
My HTC had the same cable snap. It has been over 2 months and still not fixed. Another Conti customer in the neighborhood had his HTC cable snap a few weeks ago. I would say it is a problem that the Corvette team needs to address. Thanks. Chuck
Can I order a C8 from you direct? I’ll pay MSRP and for the shipping from your dealership. (This machine is for me, and hopefully for my son in the future! No flipping!)
Rick is a fantastic corvette specialist and his demanding schedule is a product of his success. A great family hard/working man. I have a beautiful C8 sitting in my garage to prove it!
@@stephenr115 Thank you for replying, otherwise I would not know that Rick replied to me! Hopefully this will work out. My local dealer has 15 new C8's arriving next week. But the dealer still wants 10k over MSRP. I would love to deal with Rick, I love Rick's love of the car that all of us here love.
Although I have over 4k trouble free miles on my '22 the DCT issues are concerning, especially for those long trips out of state. I know it's under warranty but what a hassle it would be to have an issue 2k miles from home.
I am looking for a corvette but I want a used c6 or c7 and I’m seeing too many used c8 for sale and it is to much money to spend and having problems with the c8
I know it’s a free market economy, and I can’t afford a c8 even at MSRP, but I hate hearing that ppl are buying them just to flip them, while REAL Corvette guys and gals are waiting and waiting to get a c8…and pls spare me any economic reality comments…tnx for the VLOG Rick.
My 2020 C8 sometimes will not shift automatically up or down. You can manually shift just fine and it usually clears up in 5-10 minutes. Is this a software problem and what do I need to tell my local dealer so he can fix it?
I love your show on the vets. So I bought a 22 C8 Z51 Lt2 and was thinking about trading it in on the new truck I bought but my dealership only offered me less then I paid for it new from them. I had it for 8 months and it has less the 500 mile. It been in a climate control and in perfect shape. What is this car really worth?
Thank you both, the day I bought it my salesman and the manager told me that it was worth 20k more used, but when I was buying my new truck it was a different story? Thank you again.
@@dalecronk4377 they sold you 2 vehicles in high demand. Lowballing you on the C8 would get me another dealer experience. I was offered $30k over for my 1lt in October. Drive the car. It's fun as hell...
Yes I been lucky this year with all the problems in buy new cars. Good the C8 because a customer changed there mind and I’m still on the list to get a 23 C8 and just bought a ZR2 truck for my daily driver. I do have a long history with my dealership but I was shocked at there offering on trade in value on the C8
We already know the Auto parts supply chain is stopped at the Port of Los Angelos. That includes SEMI CONDUCTORS and every other part from China. The problem lies where car companies are making record profits off short supplies by mitigating small inventory with higher prices. China isnt in lockdown phase in any industrial region including Guangdong where most of these parts are coming from.
Quit whining about how hard you work. We ALL work hard. Get your dealership to hire another C8 expert salesperson, Hot chick maybe. And hire another C8 technician. GM has gotten themselves in a huge "C8" swamp, not really their fault but it is what it is.
