      Was it because you did the sinclair method? Or was it that naltrexone stopped the cravings for alcohol? Curious of your story. Also did alcohol start causing you severe depression and anxiety in the end ?

    Naltrexone saved my life. Went through severe DTs not to long ago. I was 30 pack a day beer drinker and sometimes a half pint of fireball. I was knocking on death's door and dying quickly. Immediately after DTs I began taking Naltrexone and the result was instantly no cravings, no desire to drink. It is a miracle. I don't know about others but I personally prefer to live a sober life and persuade my dreams that alcohol has kept me from all of these years. Good luck with your journey.

    For me it worked immediately! After day 1, I already stopped drinking. It took away all the anxiety I had from daily drinking and I felt in total control of my decisions during the day. I have been going to gym most days and havent smoked or drink now for 1 month. It has really been a miracle pill for me!❤

    I had to tell my doctor that I wanted it. I only knew about it because I had a conversation with someone about opioid addiction, he mentioned they use Naltrexone in treatment and that his wife helped develop it. For some reason I started googling it…and was like no shit, it’s supposed to work for drinking too? If I had not met that random old man and never had that conversation, I’d still be drowning. Naltrexone saved my life. I did a lot of work too, but Naltrexone is my secret weapon.

As like you, after the very first time experiencing Naltrexone w/alcohol I immediately understood that I had found the key to that door which now stood between me and alcohol. @@Adrian-yi8fl ok HI!!! I"m doing SO GREAT! Listen, I still drink but only with friends at bars/parties now and not alone or at regular gatherings. This is a HUGE game changer for me! I didn't WANT to stop completely...I just wanted to be a social drinker and now i AM. I've gone from 40 - 60 drinks a week (depending on my weekend debauchery) to 0 - 15 drinks per week - again, depending on my weekends. I started out just taking the Nal and NOT trying to stop myself from drinking. I wanted to let the Nal take it's course and it did. It took about 3 weeks for me to slow down but the cool thing was that since I wasn't stressing about it, and was relying on the drug and time to slow me down, it was a very chill three weeks with no self -loathing. Then after three weeks, I had a few easy booze-less nights, along with a few nights without getting super drunk, and week after week, my cravings just got less and less. Lately, there's even been a few times when I've forgotten to take the Naltrexone and I STILL stopped wanting to drink after 3 drinks. that never use to happen to me before. I'm very happy where I am now but if I wanted to COMPLETELY quit, I know I could do it. Never thought I could EVER say that. Good luck to you! Also, don't worry if the Nal makes you sick the first few times. It did me and I just cut my dose in half for a week and THEN resumed with the full dose. I don't think it affects many others like that though. I'm rooting for ya!!!!!

      @@HumanimalChannel Thank you! It’s definitely the opposite approach of AA and being a member for so many years I know the mentality in the program is that there’s only one way..there’s! I think that may come from fear based thinking and there’s no one size for all. The world is evolving and thank god we have this option because the success rate is much higher and we need all the solutions we can get!
      I love the vacuum analogy, that’s definitely how I felt!! I think the relationship between alcohol and someone struggling with addiction is a very complex one! There’s a lot that needs to be unpacked after but what a gift to be able to have this life free from those chains!

      @@HumanimalChannel It doesn't work for everyone. I was on Sincliar (along with gabapentin) for over a year and all it did was mildly slow the progression of my addiction. I had to go into detox and now I'm on both gababpentin and Campral which is very effective in controlling cravings, but it doesn't work if you are currently drinking. But I was a much heavier drinker than Rachel. She was drinking 4 or so drinks a day. Definitely unhealthy, but I was drinking 15-20 drinks/day. I get it's not a contest, but even the fact that she was able to take multiple days off early in her treatment tells me she wasn't very physically dependant. But I'm happy that it worked for her.

      @@bobbykay7334 yeah... it's 78% effective. Still miraculous.
      Opposed to 5% under effort, at AA.
      Sorry it didn't work for you.
      It's hard to describe how it feels, to have the type of physical craving just ended.
      It does leave you still Ei Th all the issues you had, that you drank to suppress or try to solve or ignore. That's been my struggle. It's a fix for alcohol use, not Life.
      In some ways many things are harder for me now because drinking was part of my masking and coping. I'm two years sober.
      Christmas is hard. Probably the toughest time
      Im Tempted to drink but I don't because...my brain doesn't desire it and knows it won't be 'successful' I don't get the escape I want.
      Any one giving up addictions, however they do it or whatever the addiction is, needs to be sure to be prepared for what is exposed beneath. What is raw. Unhealed and painful.

You want the concentration of Nal in the brain to be at it's max strength when you drink , 1 hour after taking the pill ... watch the documentary called One Little Pill on the Sinclair Method. • @TheMarmadukian
      @TheMarmadukian 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's the process, of drinking without the reward(which is what naltrexone takes away), that causes TSM to work so well. It inhibits the addiction forming chemicals from being released, and over time, your brain forgets it was addicted to alcohol. So without all three, taking the pill then waiting an hour and then drinking, it will not work as intended.
