Prichard is more ran down. First Ave is Trinity Gardens, which breaks into Mobile County. Hwy 45 in Prichard is the worse street period in Prichard. Main Street, Hagh Street, all by the old Blount High School. My city need help period.
I was born and raised in Pritchard. Lived on Chin St. and Elm St. went to church at Brookwood Baptist Church. Alabama Village was where the trouble was in the late 80’s . Before that Happy Hill projects was also rough area. In the 1960’s Pritchard was a AAA rated place to live. Scott Paper and International Paper Mill Closed and all the good paying jobs were gone. This lead to major decline in Pritchard along with the younger generation moving to West Mobile and Daphne.
At one time Prichard was a great place to shop and go to doctors. In the early 70s, the people of Prichard burnt the city down in protest. I would not recommend going back there. Not safe.

I couldn't find enough research on where the worst streets were so I kind of drove around a bit but didn't stay long. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, Prichard is easily one of the worst places in the country.
