- Part 1. I wanted an excavator that wouldn't break the budget. I found this one and figured I could slowly rebuild it while using it for projects around my property.

Make sure fuel line to sediment bowl and bowl is not cracked to allow air in. Had same problem with pc 40, same vintage. If you need help trouble shooting, let me know. Oh check fuel shut off solenoid not stuck shut

@@islandfd3s Well that’s a loaded question! Theres so much that can be taken into account. Size, hours, can you move it, do you need it delivered, is it complete. In my area a machine in this size category and condition is usually put on the classified websites for around 6500 and less. The ones for less go extremely quick. you have to be the first to see it and execute. Excavators under 3k lasts 5 to 10 minutes on CL or OfferUp in my area. I payed 2k and the guy delivered it. That being said I looked for 2 years before I found this one. I feel it was a deal. I’m sure some parts of the country would think I’m crazy!
@@paintnmotors2481 no, if you paid 2 grand for that I'd say you did beyond fantastic.
I can't seem to find machines in that condition here, and even ones that are rough people want 10k+ for ones of that size.

No not trying to sell it. I looked for ever to find one that wouldn’t brake the bank. It’s been a priceless education for me to get one that I have to touch everything on. I’m learning as I go. I’m just trying to share my experience on doing this to motivate others that have mechanical skills but never been around equipment. I’m in Washington state.
