"We live in a world that has become more and more unequal. Six years of frozen wages in the public sector, under-investment in housing and under-funding of the health service has left us with problem after problem. How do we move forward? Through a National Investment Bank of £500 billion, we can invest in infrastructure, housing, and hi-tech cutting-edge jobs.
Too much decision-making is top-down and done from a golden circle around Westminster, excluding the brilliant skills, ideas and knowledge of other people. I want a democracy that devolves power from Westminster, empowers local government and empowers people in their communities.
We've already changed politics in Britain. We'll continue changing politics in Britain, so that everyone's lives can be changed for the better."
