Nuttall should win this, but it is far from in the bag. Like most by-elections this will one will probably have a turn out of no more than probably about 35%. I can guarantee that within that 35% will be a fair few remainers, as they are much more motivated and mobilised than the leavers. I can also imagine a fair few leavers who do not follow politics closely will vote for Mr Snell out of pure lack of knowledge of the situation. I really hope Nuttall can do this and that the good people of Stock who voted to leave, mobilise, get out there and make it happen. This is a crucial by-election for brexit and the future of ukip. A win here for Nuttall could be the first step in ukip conquering the North. Change breeds change and the winds of change are beginning to blow...

It will be interesting to see what effect storm Doris with wind hitting 60 mph will have on turnout. No mention of the Conservatives who came a close third, who are more likely to go out and vote against labour.

Remainers will vote Lib Dems. The only saving grace for Labour is party loyalty and the fact that Stoke has been a labour stronghold for decades.
