@@johnperkins4702 This is one of my biggest complaints about sports. The players sign up and there are countless shows dedicated to criticizing the coaches and players across all sports. The best players and coaches get criticized. The refs go out and preform as well. They train. They study the game, but they cannot be criticized? They make mistakes. Some just as costly as a fumble or an int, but they can never be blamed? It makes zero sense. If a person rightfully says that the ref cost the game, they are ridiculed and the response is always “oh so you’re going to blame the ref”? Yes I blame the person who made the mistake that cost the game. Sometimes it is a QB. Sometimes a DB. Sometimes a kicker. Sometimes it is a little of all the above. But let’s be honest. Refs affect the game. They do.

Yes I think Carl was rigging the game at the request of the NFL. He has a history of this it isn't the first game. But Carl didn't cause the Chiefs to fumble twice. He didn't cause the Chiefs to miss a 51 yard field goal. He didn't cause the Chiefs to miss an extra point. He didn't cause Watson to miss that wide open catch. The team is super sloppy. How they haven't lost more games is beyond me.

For long-time fans of the show, Mangini's concession and essentially a flip to being a Mahomie is long-term storytelling at its finest. From Day 1, he tossed water over Nick's very early Mahomes coronation (Nick wasn't wrong). And as each game passed, it became harder and harder for Mangini... yet, he still fought. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
He is still wrong. Mahomes is by far the most fortunate player to ever enter the league. His team was a good team that traded up to get him, he has played for the best offensive coach in history, has had a hall of fame tight end for almost every game, up until this year has had a hall of fame receiver to match alongside him, and the receiving corps this year with Kelce, juju, MVS, Sky Moore on a rookie deal and a couple of sonic running backs.... You might see why this guy has always had the most amount of assistance in league history. Has he not?
@@TheShepdawg9 to add to that, Mahomes also had colossal meltdowns against the Bucs in the SB, the Bengals in the AFCCG last season, and did not play well in his SB win.
The ball washing for Mahomes is insane. Peyton scored 8 against a legendary LOB defense and gets roasted. Mahomes puts up 9 points against a very good Bucs team, but the media immediately jumps to his defense and blames the offensive line injuries.

Neutral here, Cheffers has seemed to call against the Chiefs this season. But I'm sure if 80k people booed me for an hour after I made a bad call, furthuring my embarrassment on national TV, I might feel a little salty against their team as well.

Coach Mangini is a great addition to the football segments! He’s gotten very funny!
The fact that Nick and Mangini agree right here says enough. Replace the QBs with average replacement players (say an Andy Dalton) and Mahomes is elevating a mid team to at least a 2 seed, facing the toughest schedule, with wide receivers and running backs off the street and bottom percentile offensive tackles on both sides. Hurts is riding along with a great team to the 1 seed, against the 30th most difficult schedule in the league ,with a great receiving core and a dominant offensive line. Not to mention the difference in defense impacting the w/l records. Mahomes also has higher counting stats, better efficiency (people argue the int's but again, look at the defenses and pressures they face, also it's only a difference of 4 in turnovers if you count fumbles which is fair to do if you also count Hurts' running stats). Mahomes is the most valuable and it's not even close. Hurts is probably not even 2nd, tbh.
allen is more valuable but in terms of statisitics, mahomes takes it over allen for mvp
Mvp is a stats award. Always had and always will be. As it SHOULD be. Except for last year when Brady should have easily beat out rodgers with virtually all stats

Mahomes chiefs remind me of the Saints after their superbowl win. Saints consistently had a great offense because of drew Brees but the defense was atrocious and kept getting bounced.

I don't think it's the Chiefs overlooking Houston. The Chiefs are one of the teams in the league now that get everybody's best shot every week. The NFL is a league built on parity, so even the teams with bad records still have good players.
