I've got the book but I also figured it's not a good place to start if you're completely new on the matter. Which books do you recommend for that?

I'm not well versed on the subject so my recommendations are limited but I really enjoyed The Kybalion, it's a little controversial for being watered down but I liked it and I think it was a good introduction. I also really enjoyed The Secret Teachings of all Ages by Manly P. Hall and Initiation into Hermetics by Franz Bardon. Hope this helps!
