That was an excellent video. From a guy who is hoping to get bison hooves on the ground next year it is extremely helpful to hear about your bison farm from top to bottom so to speak. Most of the info I already knew, but that is good because as I get closer there are less surprises about what producers say about the animal. Thanks so much for this!

What size bison herd and how many acres do you recommend to start? I've heard 12 head minimum and 50 acres. And do you think you could start by rendting vs owning the land?

You shouldn't feed the buffalo diatomaceous earth as a dewormer because its aluminum based on the same level of toxicity as lead. (feed them pumpkin seeds or chamomile flowers.)

bonjour. je ne veux pas vous apredre votre travail, mais quand - meme. dans le pays des cow - boy je ne comprend - toujour pas que vous utilisiez pas des chevaux.chez moi en france il y a qui ont monter des elevage de bisons, mais ils se servent de chevaux, et souvent ses des chevaux qui viennent des usa ( nevada).belle video.congratulations.pierre france.

You can use the brain of the buffalo to tan the hide by boiling it in water and making a mush..stretch the hide and work the mush into it with a wooden boat ore for about 5 hours..then smoke the hide for a couple hours to waterproof it.
