What a great generous person you are with sharing all your knowledge. These beautuful animals couldnt gave a better home
He’s selling his membership. For a fee.
👍👍👍. What a great speaker you are and the Association needs to have you speak as you educate new ranchers and work with older long time ranchers to giving a helping hand to continue the growth of the Bison. But mostly working ones own herd so that they trust you and they become calmer too. Hard to believe it’s only been three years since you began with your own small herd but your enthusiasm seems like you’re an owner for many more than three years. You not only educate yourself but willing to reach out for help and discussion with those who’ve been doing this far longer. Been watching you ever since Daniel Arms suggested to watch a family member doing something a little crazy and not an animal he wished to own on his farm. Saw your ups and downs and the sadness of loss and seen how you love upon your herd so that they are calm when you’re around. So I’m for sure excited about the future for you having more Bison and all the exciting new things you’re planning on your journey to helping the Bison make a comeback. Hard to believe it’s only been three years you’ve had your herd cus you always seem to be studying and asking for help and definitely learning how to do things better in order to raise your favorite animal......the majestic Bison. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
We have a herd of bison in Golden Gate Park in the middle of San Francisco. Who knew?
Yeah it is sad cause they have no bulls and no social structure (I live VERY close to it).
I just went there and it was amazing to see!! I was shocked lol
I remember going there as a kid.. it was a sight to see especially back then because they were on the brink of extinction!
The tatanka is one of The coolest animals on The planet
Good for the ecology, good for my belly.

Blasphemy
Say hello to my little (BIG) friend Tatanka (America)
I love how knowledgeable you are. Also, how you're willing to become more even more knowledgeable in the raising of these great animals.
We have a herd of bison in our county park, right outside of Pittsburgh. They've been there for about fifty years, I believe.
I live 20 min south of Pgh. What is the name of the park you are referencing?
Ha! Just found it. South Park. Very close by!!
@@janicecancilla913 Love going to see them! I even stop to look when I'm out making deliveries that way.
OMG!! I have been wanting to try to make this the year. I joined MOBA last year and now I find myself financially stressed out due to a car accident. However, the government is throwing around a lot of money! So, the dream is getting really close. The information in this video is such a blessing to me. Thank you for your wealth of knowledge. Paul in St. Louis.
LOVE this video, so interesting. I love seeing the bison running and playing, they look like they are running on Pogo Sticks!! You are so good with your animals, but unless I can take care of them from the outside of the fence. I still think you must be a little crazy to go inside the fence with the bison, since that can get really crazy from time to time!!
Hey Dusty...I love your enthusiasm and dedication to these beautiful Animals! I will continue to follow my Cross Timbers addiction!!
Me too! And I still want to brush them. Lol. 🐂
Dusty, hats off to you and your family for what you're doing on your ranch. You're a great example and role model to those wanting to raise bison and your passion for it shows. Keep doing what you're doing and prayers for safety and growth of your herd.
I seen the funniest shirt. It had a bison and said "don't pet the fluffy cows!!"
I could sit and just watch them for hours. If you check out Fermi lab in Illinois yrs ago they rescued a buch of bison and they have raised many babies. Trying to bring back bison because they where almost gone I would sit in my car for hours just watching them in just awww. Love to see them running through the snow playing acting like little kids. Love from Wheaton Illinois
love watching them run and play they are amazing animals. wish you had a video everyday..
Good afternoon.
🥰 You gotta love those bison. 👏👏👏 Usually a calm beautiful animal.
Grew up near Canyon, Tx. Charlie Goodnight had 2 pet bison that he insisted keeping in town for tourists. They always got out and ran around town. They were considered major headaches. Nobody said no to Mr Goodnight, but they didn't do well in a little corral in town. The last one was stuffed and put in the local museum.
If all cattle could be raised the way these bison (and perhaps most?) are raised, the issues surrounding the mass production of meat would be eliminated - feed lots, long distance hauling, antibiotics. It's too bad there isn't the land to raise all the meat we eat this way. I eat very little meat just because of the mass production issues, but if I could afford to eat bison, I would every day. The quality of life that the bison at CTB have is second to none.
I remember the trailer accident. I would love to raise bison one day. I hope your patience and hard work start to pay off
Love the dedication you have to your animals and that you share everything that goes on
I would LOVE to raise Bison! Its the finding and buying of decent land with water thats tough. As far as I'm concerned you are living the dream though!
Ill talk to the USDA and NRCS in Nevada!
There are some bison farms around in both North and South Dakotas that are raising BISON😘😇👍😎
Love watching your BISON. Nice of you sharing your experience with Bison. GOD BLESS CROSS TIMBERS BISON FAMILY.
Great video. Glad to see bison meat become more available. A little pricey, but worth the cost. I buy entire rib roasts from our local HEB grocery store here in San Antonio, and cut them myself to the thickness I desire. Wonderful meat. Please keep encouraging ranchers to get into bison ranching.
Awesome avocation ...
Loved how Dunbar or Big Joe at the end rolling in the dirt.
You sound just like a teacher,DA, great info.so nice you wish to educate the public. Hope all, make good use of your advice. Still loving those majestic animals.
When I was considering taking the plunge I watched videos like yours. Everyone does things differently and you can learn alot by seeing it for yourself, people are more than willing to share. Having recently started a 70 head herd myslef I'm shocked and appreciate that you are able and actually willing to video some of it. As you know some of the best moments are sadly not caught on video. I learned a lot watching videos like yours, maybe I should make more on an effort to capture it and share it out. If you ever roll through Eastern Kansas let me know!
so encouraging to see you started!! thanks for sharing
i just wish we had bison in my country they look so badass
They don't just LOOK Badass. They can walk the walk.
Did a fantastic job explaining getting started with Bison. Thought about it for a minute, and started smiling...oh yeah, he's a teacher! That's why. You are a super asset to the NBA!
The first time I seen a bison up close was at a native American powwow I use to go to I worked for the lady who owned the bison and she said that she was the only person who could get near it because he would attack anyone else who try to get in the pin with him and I asked her if I could get in there with him I told her that he wouldn't attack me so she told me to enter at my own risk and I got in the pin with and started petting him and scratching his head and she was shocked and asked me how I knew he wasn't going to hurt me I told her two reasons one he showed no signs of aggression to me and two my native American name means big buffalo plus my spirit animal is a buffalo most animals don't scare me I'm more scared of certain reptiles had a bad experience with them at a young age
Hi dusty i just am very curious about the bison herd. I have lots of movies with buffalo in them and was fasicinated. They are america, they roamed along time. I am so amazed how you can reach up and pet elanor who seems to be a sweetheart. And dunbar seems to be gentle, but i know you have to keep on watch all the time your around them. They are majestic looking. I live here in kansas. I didnt know we had bison in Kansas. Great video dusty.
This is my dream thanks for the information! ❤️
It still stuns me to watch a creature that large take off with a frisky run... I love when you show that, looking forward to your next trip and possible purchasing of more bison.
That was interesting! I hope new bison owners to be listened to you!
Very informative 👍
Alot of information shared for someone who wants to buy. I just enjoy watching you sir. Love you channel.
We are up here in maine. We have been in dairy cows my whole life. We just sold the dairy cows and thinking about getting some bison this helped a lot on what I can expect thank you!
I’d love to!
I am in no position to ever have bison, but I sure love watching them! Your channel gives me a perfect opportunity to see these majestic and powerful animals. My one year old granddaughter is excited to view, also.
Great video. 🐂🌟🌟🙂
Talk about harvesting your bison.
i going to start my own bison ranch in montana after my military service. im very excited and im already planning my ranch.
They are looking great
Have a good day. God bless
I think it's great that you are encouraging people to raise bison. From a purely ecological perspective, I wish we would raise exclusively bison in this country instead of beef.
Is that a blue heeler dog you have there? Good to see our Aussie dogs making their mark on the world.
First step have 75/100 acers of land to start off with
Thank you for all you do for these majestic animals
Went to a farm that is hilly and they use woven wire fence. They have more sloped pastures so it’s hard for the bison to charge up the hill and jump it. They don’t even electrify it which is wild.
thank you for explaining. I know it’s a job and respecting the bison is important.
Good Evening to Cross Timber Bison and all others too!
Hello iam Edwin de vries from The netherlands iam now 15 when iam grown up I want to imigrate to us montana to have a horseranch I also want Some Bisons with my ranch thanks for this video awesome channel greets from The netherlands 👍👏🐎🦬
Great idea, but just remember it gets really cold in Montana. Maybe further south would be better. Hope you achieve your goals.
@@sidibill thank you so much i hope to that i wil get there thanks for The tip hope you and The Bisons wil have a great life keep it up man God bless you
You’ll do it someday, Edwin!
are you going to have Frisian horses as they are so cute. i have been to you country and then went to Germany the town of Leer and Bunde where my family comes from. in the army 1972 to 1974 i was in southern Germany Neu Ulm i also walked 100 miles in Denmark for a vacation
@@Edwinthemountainman8454 you should move to central montana. Best way to enter the country is to be an international student. Search up the requirements for doing so online. Best of luck!
Thanks..just love to watch your bison! Hope more raise them!
I can recommend a gentleman called Ed Billinger in Kansas. He has a Bison herd of 60+ and he is an excellent teacher in his field.
Maybe you can do a deal with Val Kilmer who has a lot of them!
I love watching your videos it's so interesting. How much did your first 5 bison cost you? God bless
Eating a bison burger from Weis markets Pennsylvania right now when I looked this up and started watching while eating.
What a great mission.
Not sure if you knew or not, but there is a ranch outside of Enterprise Oregon that has a hundred or more "not sure as I was driving by and seen them at a glance"
Love it!
They're still wild where I live around
I'm in, just need to convince the Hub.
I love cooking with ground bison. Pricey but delicious. They are magnificent animals.
We have two bison 🦬 farms right here in my area 10-15 miles from where I live. I love to drive 🚗 by the farm to see the bison 🦬. Love you guys. 🥰❤💞🦬🦬
How exciting, can't wait for those videos..
What would also be nice is if they could take large section of North America say like two million acres or more and clear out the cites etc. and turn it back into plains or prarrie land and let the Bison roam free and forage and have their numbers increase back to the millions again.
Uh, no. I will admire and learn from afar...........by watching Cross Timbers Bison. Majestic creatures.
Wow! You’re almost at a million subscribers!!! That’s great!♥️ You are so kind to your animals... that’s the reason I’m still subscribed❣️Keep up the great work...🙋♀️❣️
265K a little over a quarter of the way there.
I love watching you all
Great video, Thank you!
Absolutely great video! Thank you
Thank you Dusty for all the info. I would love to raise bison but I don’t have the land to do it. Bless you for taking such good care of the bison. I love your channel. God Bless you and your family!! 🙏💖✝️🥰🤗🤗🤗😇💕🌸💞😊
Would be nice to raise small herds in former horse or cattle farms. Seems fencing and a corral are key. The Temple Grandin circular corral seems to work best.
This is awesome information. Thank you.
Love your channel, Dusty, but I will be happy to watch your journey from a safe distance. LOL
I can't wait to go to the sale with you Dusty! I follow you wherever you go! If you follow someone else then, I'll go n follow you while you follow someone else! I love to watch the Bison when they run...To me theres nothing more beautiful n massive to run so gracefully! Thank you Dusty for taking us along with you! Lol. What a Blast it will be! Hello there Mr Big Joe, You are so Gorgeous! Lol. Kiss! Kiss! Hug! Hug! Lol. 🙏🙏✨💖✨💪😀
Great information! I was wondering about how much Big Joe weighed - WOW!
Thank you for this video!!
Hell ya brother
Enjoyed the video, see you soon.
I can tell you are a knowledgeable, responsible & caring producer. Still, it makes me sad there's nowhere for them to run as they have for thousands of years.
Shoot I wish I had the cash to start raising bison! I just wish there was something close to Los Angeles where I could go and check out the operation. I really need to go visit a ranch for sure! What a fantastic and informative video. Next step is to become a member.
Dusty I enjoy your videos of raising Bison I think Thay are a beautiful animal mean Joe massive❤️
Thanks for sharing your knowledge Dusty 💞.
JO JO IN VT 💕😄
Thoroughly enjoying your channel. Amazed at how much knowledge you have You sure are doing a great job
I love this video. I've watched it three times now.
I’m going to be starting a herd in Wyoming soon. I’m hoping to learn from you as well as many others with the existing knowledge I’ve found over the last few years.
Thanks Dusty. I've been thinking about raising bison. Money is the biggest hurdle. Love your video. Thanks for the advise.
Freaking awesome video! Definitely my favorite video of yours!
I only wish I could but without $$$ I can’t
I know the feeling.
Roger that. there's a few blocks in my way too. Money, age, and disabilities. I have trouble getting from one room to another and when I get there, I can't remember why I came.
Get you some big old Wood Bisons!
Another good information video. I have missed seeing your videos....guess the bad weather there prevented any filming. Look forward to the next one.
Great video. Good steps to follow. Takes dedication and hard work. Thanks.
in New York you can have a bison 🦬 herd
Thanks, dusty. Very helpful video!
There's a huge herd in S Florida. We are in North FL and plan to get some.
I dont know dude Dunbar wants to come live with me and be a house bison. Just ask him he will tell you.
There is a white one in Branson MO
He doesn't want to live with you, he told me yesterday
No Thanks buddy, that's why we watch you!
I’m glad someone is raising Bison, but not me lol... black angus gives me all the entertainment I can handle
How large of a herd do you want to have?
It’s great you are following the journey of former bison rancher getting back into it. You should encourage him to start a utube channel too.
Great information. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you:)
